I recently found out that my mother has type 2 diabetes. Its something that runs in our family plus she's over weight and is obviously in the process of losing. Still, I like to be told straight up the dangers or what may happen with things. So be honest.

My blood sugars have been in the 500's and higher for the past 6 months, and I dont know what to do, I have lost over 30 lbs. in the past 2 months, all i feel like doing is sleeping, I cant wake up in the morning to go to work and Im always drained, feel dizzy, I get the cold sweats in the night and sometimes during the day. Now I have an ulcer and my eating habbits are all messed up. Dont get no exercise because i have a desk job and when i get home Im so tired. Example last weekend i sleep for 2 days straight, and maybe only ate one meal or so. Its getting pretty serious, my vision is getting blurred and I get cramps in my legs and lower back. Can someone out there give me some guidence.

I know that your pancrease is used to break down sugars, I am not looking for diabetic symtoms I am curios as to other symtoms? What causes it, and what makes people suspect they have it. Is your pancrease on your left side?
