I don't actually eat that much sugar, it usually happens after a bottle of coke and a biscuit. I know there's loads of sugar in coke, but I drink it about twice a month!

The symptoms of diabetes are:
The need to drink every 1/2 hour or so
The need to pee every half hour or so
Rapid weight loss over 3 months
Tiredness and
the sensations you feel when you take too much sugar.

Your GP will give you a urine test and if it looks as if you have high glucose levels, take a blood sample for analysis.

Do take the test. Diabetes, if left undiagnosed for too long, can wreck your kidneys, make you go blind and could go as far as having feet amputated. get to the doctor as soon as you can.

It's a definite sign of diabetes starting to occur. I bet that the hand shaking and muscle weakening starts about a hour or slightly more after you eat that stuff. If that's the case, what's happening is that you feel fine immediately after eating. However, inside your body your sugar - blood glucose - level is rising. When it peaks in about an hour or a bit more, it then starts down. Instead of stopping at what should be a normal level, it continues down to a low - below normal - level and you start shaking. The sign of low sugar level in your system. You are going thru the first signs of diabetes. Soon, they will include logs of water drinking and lots of running to the bathroom. Best advice, go see your family doctor now and cut back on the sweets, and high sugar drinks.

If you are getting physical symptoms from eating too much sugar, you are eating WAAAAAY to much. Forget the weakness, you are doing terrible damage to yourself eating that amount of crap.

Diabetes can be genetic, but it is also possible to induce diabetes due to a bad diet. If you overload yourself with sugar you will eventually damage the pancreas and give yourself diabetes among other serious health problems.

No it is not diabetes, but it is a sign that you should cut down on your sugary food in take.
What you are describing is commonly known as a sugar rush, Its your body's way of dealing with too much sugar that it cannot process correctly because of the amount!
Nothing to worry about!

I wonder how much suger you normally take? If you eat regular meals then the occasional coke should not cause these symptoms.
They are related to eating disorders and unusual unless you starve yourself then take in lots of sugar.

See a doctor
