Are there any on the market that allow one to measure and record glucose levels, but also allow me to enter in foods (or carbs) I have eaten, along with exercise I have completed? Can you recommend a brand name....Many thanks

There are many Blood Glucose monitors available that will do what you have asked. I use the OneTouch UltraSmart by LifeScan. It has a memory of 3000 readings along with food, exercise, heart and insulin types. There's a computer download capability with their usb cable and software program. I have found it very useful for my needs.

All glucose monitors let you record & store your level readings. As for logging your food intake and exercise management you should use a daily journal. I do not know of any monitors that have the journal function. However you can, if you have a computer, look at sample journals on-line and create your own. Check out the american diabetes association website for further information & journal ideas. Good Luck.
Almost forgot if you have healthcare insurance and your ARE diabetic they should cover your monitor at NO Cost to you. Check it out.

Unfortunately no. Get your doc to give you a copy of the ADA exchange diet. Measure your sugar three times a day (adult),
4-6 times a day if in your teens.

When purchasing a glucometer consider the cost of the test strips, glucometers are often sold very inexpensivly but the test strips is where they make the real money.

Sams Club has their own brand, and I have found them to be the least expensive.

Rely On is the brand name, they also have their own insulin.
It is also cheaper.

What good would those things do for you?
you really need to know how your body is responding to its own insulin production.....and really working out and all the eating healthy is great, and will help increase your body's response to it's own insulin, but I don't think a monitor would need those things.

The One-Touch Ultra or Ultra Smart will allow you to do all of those things.

You are asking for a computer in a small glucosometer. Why not record on a computer? I do not think they exist.
