I just found out a week ago that my blood sugar level was high. My Doc has told me that other tests need to be done this week, to determine which type we are dealing with. Because of the black outs, and lethargy; should I be driving? I have had episodes in the past where I've had to pull over, that frightens me! I could use some good advice from people who are educated in signs and symptoms of this disease! Thank You, starbuck1951

My daughter, now three, was diagnosed at 22 months old. She has been on Novolog and Lantus ever since diagnosis. Although she hasn't had any major problems, I have been checking into alternatives that don't require so many injections during the day. I have been doing alot of research on insulin pumps in young children, which show many benifits. If you have had any experience with a younger diabetic involving diffrent insulins, regimens, or pumps I would like to hear from you. (I am not treating her myself, she is seen by some of the worlds top endocrinologist, I would just like to hear of others experiences to learn more about the options we have been checking and other diabetics circumstances. So with that said, do not refer me to seek a medical professionals opinion.)

I'm 29 years old and I have (insulin-dependant) diabetes since 1991, I want to know what is the best medical device I can use for keeping the blood sugar at normal controled levels, how much does it cost? how to use and how sufficient it is?
I don't want to go through all long term side effects of diabetes

on the control test, the bottle has a 0, 1, 2 and some results next to it.

It says to use the solution and see what the meter says and check it to the results on the bottle.

I show the results in the 1 catagory.

So what is 0 and 2 for, would it matter if it was in 0 or 2, do you have to set the meter for whatever you come up with.

I don't understand why they have
92-124
187-253
374-506

why not just say 92-506 and then you are in the range.

anyone know how this works?

I'm hearing that low is like 65 mg/dL or lower and that high is 300 mg/dL or higher. Normal is between 70-115 mg/dL. Can anyone clarify this?
