Right this moment, that's just fine. The problem is that your reading just this moment, this good one, will change when you take some exercise (down), up when you eat something (up, but varying with how much and what you eat), down with most medications (eg, insulin, oral medications (for type 2s), insulin sensitizers (for type 2s), and in various directions when you sleep or when you're being stressed (eg, when Leo the Lion is chasing you up a tree, or the snakes get loose on the plane or ...).

And, of course the effect of medications are not identical. this insulin takes effect very quickly, and stopes within the hour, while other insulins don't take effect for many hours and doesn't stop
for perhaps as long as a day. And, furthermore, only two current insulins have constant effect while they work. Most reach a peak of effect partway through their period of activity.

That's the problem with keeping your blood glucose level reasonable. There are many things which affect it, for varying times, and with greater or lesser effect. It's a balancing act, and neither your doctor nor some nurse nor a dietician nor a certifed Diabetes Educator will be available at all times. Diabetics must understand enough about what's going on inside to consciously substitute for the beta cells which aren't any longer doing their jobs correctly -- thought the reason for the confusion differs which which diabetes variety you have.

in short, there's no simple answer. You can't just coast. Unless, you are very lucky and your sort of diabetes doesn't progress and change. This is not so common and you have to be aware of it even if yours seems to be the not progressing kind.

Good luck. It's fun fun Fun. A real pain in the .

102 is pretty good. Lower than 100 is optimal.

Your blood sugar if you are non-diabetic, should be less than 120 and should not be more than 180, one to two hours after you eat.

Depends on if it was a fasting BS or one or two hours after a meal.
You want to keep you Blood Sugars under 105 one AND two hours after you eat. its ok to have a 60 before you eat.
