Hi, not as in hello, but hi as in an abbreviation for HIGH or something, but we're not sure what. This is really urgent, cos that is what the meter reading is when we tested my grandmothers blood sugar levels and we don't know what it means, or what to do... HELP. And she's not on insulin, so that is not an option

I am a type 2 diabetic who has just started using meds (15mg Actos daily) after many years of being diagnosed. Is it possible to ever get off of meds, if you lose weight and exercise? I've lost quite a bit of weight over the years, but still have some to go before I get to my goal weight. Serious answers only, please. Thanks!

My father was just diagnose with type II diabetes. He has always been a big eater but veryb active. He loves twinkies and mainly any other kind of snacks. But now they said that he can no longer eat his favorite fried foods or snacks. My mom doesn't really understand the diet papers that the doctors give her. I was wondering if I could get some help with finding some websites with easy to understand diets and directions.Maybe some info on portions and planned meals.Any help would be very much appreciated.

I like drinking sweet tea and coffee, and I have heard people say drinking too much sugar can lead to diabetes. Yet, some other people say that diabetes are caused by our bad internal organ (liver, pancreas, kidney, or something) and not by the amount of sugar we consume. Please throw me some light.

my sugar went high two weeks ago coincident swwith starting a Citalopram anti depressant tablet-i came off eight days ago after seven days on reaoning that it would take an equal amout of time to get out of the system-i checked my meeter although there was no need as the polyuria told me all i wanted to know-im geetting a new batch of tablets tonighty and checking expiry dates, tightened the diet, reduce my stress to leave only the possibility of a symptomleesss urinary infection or a sudden worsenig of the diabetes-have i left anything out
it was so frustrating as i had finally achieved a 5.8 hba1c and burying a cut price meter accu view opened up a whole new pack of sleeping dogs-see my question
i am trying to bear in mind that theses setbacks are part of the journey but its very nasty as i have just had my eyes operated on and am desperate to stop the new leaky blood vessels from recurring
