Have type 2 diabetes and just found out back on 9-1-06 I has MS. Not taking any medication yet for the MS. Have heard that some MS medications and diabetic meds can have some side affects. What type of diabetes did your Dr. tell you that you have (1 or 2).???

This program http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=549 helped me to improve my quality of life as a diabetic. The system asserts that it's able to reverse diabetes in as short as 3 weeks. I still think that diabetes is a chronic disease and can't be reversed but I really liked the book. It helped me watching everything related to my diabetes under a different perspective. That's why I recommend it.

Look for the diabetes message boards on ivillage.com. There is a wonderful, knowledgeable community there. I'm sure they can give you all the help and advice you need, as well as friendship. When I was first diagnosed, I found a lot of help there.

Try a vegan diet. Recent research shows the vegan diet will reverse type II diabetes. See http://www.vegetarianorganiclife.com/ and http://www.newstarget.com/019785.html I also believe the vegan diet will substantially help prevent the secondary complications of type-1 diabetes.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/axLWC
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
