Two years ago after a routine blood test, husband was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. His level was 7.5.

We changed our lifestyle completely cutting out rubbish and eating lots of fruits and veg, fish and whole foods. We also took long walks every day.

After one year his levels had dropped to 6.2 and last week we went back for his yearly results and they were 5.5.

So it can be reversed. We both look and feel better but you must remember this change of lifestyle is for life, not just a short while.

Good luck.

Sort of... here's how:

For type I and type II diabetics (and those who could potentially become diabetic)...

I've found a wonderful book that will help you control your diabetes and minimize or even eliminate the complications. Some folks who became diabetic due to poor diet and obesity are effectively cured by following the advice in this book. I'm a type II (inherited), but it helps all types, especially those who became diabetic due to poor eating habits. It's by an author who has really done his homework, Patrick Quillin, Phd. It's called, "The Diabetes Improvement Program". I have tried his suggestions and found them to be very helpful. I have no complications whatsoever and my blood sugar levels are quite stable. Yes, I still have to take Metformin (Glucophage) daily, but it's the minimum dosage (500mg) and I only have to take it twice a day. I have been off Metformin for as much as a week, but this was with vigorous exercise. Many, what I call, non-hereditary type IIs (those that don't have a close relative who had it) have gotten off medication completely, just with diet, exercise, and supplements. So, in some instances, it most certainly can be 'effectively' cured. Read more about it here:
http://www.diabetesimprovement.com/

The book explains what's going on in our system and what to do about it. It's really easy and inexpensive. It's basically diet, supplements and exercise. For example, did you know that cinnamon helps blood sugar absorption? It also controls cholesterol and triglycerides. This is according to the USDA:

For men: Are you suffering from erectile dysfunction? I was. Yes, WAS. Now that everything's under control, I'm able to have nearly normal sex again. I've also put together a little webpage highlighting some of the things I've learned here:

Here's another great health site with all kinds of general health information:

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

YES, THERE IS A CURE!
However, I'm not sure if it only works on type 1 diabetes.

It is a transplant of islet cells from a donor that matches you. Don't let others fool you. The cure exists, but it involves surgery. For some reason they still consider it in research. It probably has something to do with the insurance companies not paying for it.

Type 2 is an adult onset diabetes, usually hereditary. There is no cure. The best thing to do is control it, being sure to follow a proper diet and take your meds as prescribed. Uncontrolled diabetes leads to a multitude of other helth problems, the worst being death.

I am not sure what your age is, but research definitely shows that Diabetes 2 can be reversed with a proper diet and a lot of exercise, given you have no other major illnesses. I have met two individuals who have reversed their diabetes 2. I would definitely consult a nutritionist if you need help figuring out what kinds of foods to eat. An endocrinologist is a doctor who manages Diabetes, It will be good if you get an endocrinologist who can monitor you and help you possibly reverse diabetes. Good Luck!

I am a type 2 (adult onset) diabetic due to Agent Orange exposure.
Unfortunately diabetes cannot be cured, but it can be controlled by medication and diet. Watch what you eat and if you are overweight, loose the weight and get plenty of exercise.
Keep a close watch on your blood sugar levels.
Avoid foods that contain sugar or can turn to sugar in your system.
God bless and good health!

As will will learn, Diabetes can not be cured, it's treated like a disease, and it should be considered as a "condition".
You can live a long and healthy life, and probably that best aid to come along is Dr. Bernstein, so give a look:

This doesn't mean that you can avoid Insulin, but you can help yourself.
