My husband has cancer in his bones and has to be very conscious about protecting the bone mass he has. He has to take at least 1200 mg of calcium a day and 600 IU of Vitamin D a day. Additionally he drinks as much milk and eats as much diary products as he can manage.
Ninety-nine percent of your body's calcium is stored in your bones. Your body uses vitamin D to help transport calcium to your bones. The calcium needs the vitamin D. At the cancer center they explained to us the importance of both the calcium and the vitamin D.
I hope this helps.

Yes, you can loose your teeth to type 2 diabetes. A friend of mine did. The complications of diabetes are massive. Most don't realize how long the list is/can be.
The best thing is to get your husbands diabetes in control. The better sugar control you have, the less likely you will suffer from some of the more devistating complications. If your husband has always had strong teeth, and had few if any cavities or other dental problems, then it might not be a big problem.
Is he already having dental problems? If so, then get a second opinion. Sometimes dentists like doctors get a little over zealous. It's not that you don't trust your dentist, you just need to make sure that getting dentures now is the right thing.
Calcium with magnesium is good at building bone. The magnesium helps your body absorb the calcium. No sense taking it just to have it leave your body. I wouldn't take any of those Rx's for osteporosis though. Most of them limit the bodies ability to slough off bone, which is a natural thing for the body to do. When the body can't slough off dead bone, then it's like asking for a broken bone. If your husband is already having bone problems in his mouth, then you don't want to help the problem get worse by taking the wrong med. Do a lot of research, get a second opinion, and talk with a diabetes specialist. Use all the resources at your disposal.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Unfortunately with diabetes 2 this can be a problem. On something like this you're better off going with what the dentist suggests and I would seek two or three opinions if you wish so that you can be assured that you're getting consistent advice. I'm afraid surgery is pretty likely here. Good luck.
