My mother-in-law is battling breast cancer. She had surgery a month ago and is starting chemo next week. She is really struggling financially, because she is not going to be able to go back to work for quite some time and has no income coming in, and the bills are already piling up. She is a very tough independent lady and told us that she doesn't want any kind of handouts or benefits because she wants to deal with this in her own way. We respect her feelings, but we would like to know if there is any other way we could help her out financially? Is there such a thing as a "silent benefit" that she wouldn't have to know about? Have any of you ever done anything like that? Or, does anyone have any ideas how we could convince her to agree to the benefit?

What are the chances of a 15 year old getting ovarian cancer?
only signs are cramps, not necessarily during period, and after sex.

She doesn't want to talk about it, but her family needs to know what she will be going through so we can be emotionally prepared. She seems to have little to no pain; has had a high colostomy to relieve strangulation of her intestine by the spreading tumor. Her main symptoms are a distended abdomen and she is very weak.

All the cancer sites online tell about treatments for fighting the disease, but none of them tell us about end of life issues when chemo and radiation are declined by the patient.

My name is Fiona and my best friend has cancer. Its called Malignant Mesothelioma. It is extremely deadly, really rare, and most people only live 24 months after diagnosis. But because it took her doctors so long to diagnose, they are predicting she only has three months. I have known this person almost my whole life and I love her so so much.

I want to do something really special for her, something that will show her how much i love her and how much i have appreciated my life with her. This news is fairly new to me, so i don't have a real clear idea of what i should do. What would you do?
