Get a bachelor degree (at least) in Biotech or Bioinformatics to get your toe in the door. To do actual research, a PhD in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or an MD will land you a job.

You start with a four years degree with a prominent University, then you go into a medical program, then a internist program. After about 12 years, if you haven't changed you mind, you can apply to the many places, if your marks are high enough.
