I just got home from training down at Fort Benning, Georgia with the Army.
I've been sick for about 6 weeks now. The doctors down there said my throat culture showed that I had Pharyngitis. Army healthcare down there kinda bites.. they only gave me Robitussin, Ibuprofin, and nasal spray.
So I went to my family physician back here at home and he believes it's allergies. He gave me Allegra-D and Nasonex.
I have this really scratchy-itchy feeling in the back of my throat and keep coughing VERY persistently--it won't go away. None of the medicine I've been taking (what's been given by the doctor, as well as Tylenol Cold and Sore Throat, and lozenges) have been helping with the cough. It's really annoying; I can't even open my mouth to speak without coughing up a storm. Any suggestions on what it is, and what I can do to improve my cough and condition? There's also a lot of fluid in my ears..
