Was it your total cholesterol, your LDL which is your bad cholesterol or your HDL which is your Healthy cholesterol. I will assume it is your overall cholesterol. If so, the normal range of cholesterol is under 200.

here is a site that explains all your different cholesterols and what your levels should be. remember your age has something to do with it and will have something to do with the range!

160 is not bad, 120 is better. But more importantly, you need to know the HDL and LDL levels. LDL is responsible for aherosclerotic heart disease and HDL helps to prevent atherosclerosis.

A 160 total cholesterol is not worrisome, but you may want to recheck it again 1 year from now.

160 without medication is very good, the only other thing is ask about your ratio of good to bad cholesterol.

160 is excellent!! Anything under 200 is acceptable. Way to go! :)
