My friend has chromes disease and is very frustrated with it. I wish i knew what to say to her to help her feel better but everytime she has to go to the hospital is just makes her feel worse and worse. She feels like she has to give up on her life (not in a suicide kind of way) inorder to deal with chromes. She finds it hard to keep up with her friends and family becasue she is always in the hospital or getting blood transfusions. Any advice on how i can help her?

smoking is very much frowned upon nowdays. im sure the thought of someone sparking up next to you in a resterant now would enrage you. well i feel the same when i pass these smoking areas and passive smokers it makes me feel sick.

i lost my mother and the cause was put down to her smoking days. so lets save the ones we love and ban smoking altogether
plus it will reduce our NHS costs quite a bit as there are alot of smokers causeing the hold ups in the first place.

I never would have thought I might have sleep apnea, but recenly I have considered it a possibility. For years I have had the problem of holding my breath in while I am sleeping, just to let it out in a gasp a short while after. I'm not overweight and I don't snore, but the fact that this sometimes prevents me from falling asleep and/or gives me an awful headache worries me.

Is it sleep apnea?

My tongue is slightly swollen and I literally can't stick it more than 1 inch out of my mouth. When I do stick it out, it looks very fat. It hurts on the bottom like i pulled the muscle. My cheeks are a little swollen too.

If this is an allergic reaction, how long will it take to go away?

If its not a reaction, what could it be?

I am a diabetic and my reading is usually about 7-8, after 8 hours fasting ( sorry, cant remember the unit on my tester). As this is a borderline case, I had actually stop my medication for a year already, and the reading is still the same (does not go up). This is because I control the intake of sweet food like sugar, candy, chocolate, cookies, cakes and so on. I love fruit but always afraid of taking too much of them as many are sweet like grape, apple, pears, papaya, waternelon (very sweet), honeydew (very sweet). Are such fruits detrimental to a diabetic's well being?

I have a buring type sensation in lower throat/lungs. Its hard to pinpoint where it actually is. It almost feels like you just inhaled way too much smoke. I don't have a cough at all. I try to cough, but its dry and nothing will come up. Its comes and goes and it is not consistant unless I'm thinking about it or worrying about it. I am on anxiety meds, but they don't seem to be working because I am constantly worrying about throat/lung cancer. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?
