hi, i was wondering do u have to have sex with some1 who has the virus (HIV) to recieve it?

Having sex with someone who has HIV/AIDS is one way of contracting the virus.

A person can also contract HIV by sharing an infected needle/syringe with an HIV/AIDS person.

Blood transfusions can also cause someone to contract HIV if they receive blood that was donated by a HIV/AIDS infected person. This is less common today then it was in the early 80s though when HIV was first discovered.

HIV can also be passed to a newborn if the mother has HIV/AIDS.

if you have unprotected sex with someone or are exposed to their bodily fluids esp vaginal seminal blood on an open surface u can contract HIV

no you don't have to, you can share a dirty needle, or get into a really crazy knife fight where blood is exchanged, HIV is not easy to get, but be sure to always protect yourself.

sex is one way but theres also the sharing of blood or dirty needles from drug users with the virus
