i notice that whenever i eat (most) fresh fruits i get an itchy and uncomfortable feeling in my throat when i swallow. i also get tightness, itching, and ulcers on my lips. (all symptoms pass within a half-hour or less). these symptoms appear whenever i eat fresh apples, watermelon, peaches, strawberries, and some others. this makes it very hard to enjoy eating fresh fruit. is this an allergy, and how serious? is there any treatments that help this? thanks!

Sometimes right out of the blue, my heart starts to hurt during every beat and then it suddenly stops hurting. It's done that a few times. Does anyone know what causes this?

Hi! Bear with me for a second on this....

1. Human papilloma virus (HPV) is defined as family of viruses that causes hand warts, foot warts, flat warts and genital warts.
2. Guardasil is a "cervical cancer vaccine," but in reality, it just protects against HPV, since HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer.

This leads me to ask: Would the Guardasil vaccine protect against warts on the hands and feet too, since they're all caused by the same virus (HPV) as genital warts?

Thanks!

P.S. I'm not covered in warts, just so you know, lol.... I was just watching a commercial about Guardasil and this question popped into my head!

I have moved from (relatively) cold Canada to hot and tropical South East China, and now my hands have gone from being cold and purple, to feeling like they're hot and tingly. They're actually quite painful. I run them under cold water, and put them in the freezer for very short periods of time.
I thought moving to a warmer climate was supposed to help!
My Reynaud's was diagnosed by a dermatologist in 2005.
Thanks!

I like to swim laps at the local pool. I never had a problem with this before but now everytime I swim my nose starts running and i start sneezing uncontrollably. My face also feels burned after swimming. I'm not sure what to do about this problem bc i really want to swim my laps and that's the only pool around this area.

Also I take a shower and wash off everytime after i swim..
I'm just wondering if there is any lotion or any herb that could prevent this from happening.

I do not like taking medications, so I'd rather find something natural. Also I've tried putting "Cetaphil" lotion on my face before I swim, but it still happens.

Is there anything that can help? Also, does anyone know why i would have an allergic reaction now and not before [about a year ago]?

I have COPD and I have to stop smoking. I do not want to, but I have to. I feel that my breathing is getting worse. I use Advair and it helps tremendously. Does Chantix work? My doctor said to take it for only seven days. Do people take it for longer than one week? Someone said it makes you itch. Is this possible? Wellbutrin did absolutely nothing for me. I smoke three packs a day. I admit it - I definitely need help. I once thought they made a cigarette with no nicotine in it, but I have never seen it. I hope one of you can give me some good advice here and please let me know if Chantix really works. I understand that my insurance does not pay for it and it costs $120 for one bottle. Thank you.

I had a biopsy done yesterday on this lump I have on the side of my nose and am waiting for the results. The doctor said if it's positive, I will have to have the area surgicially removed. It is a painful process? Will I get black eyes? Do they put you to sleep or do they give you a local (novocain)? Thanks for your answers.

I have not had sex in 2 months and I plan on not having sex for a while. I got tested for STDs about a month ago, I'm disease free and I want to keep it that way. But it really gets hard for me. I wouldn't say I'm addicted to sex, but I think about it quite often. I'm trying to abtain from having sex for a while, but I want to know how I can keep myself from getting in situations where I feel like having sex. So does anyone have any advice or tips?? Thanks.
