I'm not an expert, but in my experiance they usually go away in three or four days as long as you don't scratch them at all, if you scratch them they stick with you awhile longer. Sting-Ez and other bug bite products you can find in a drug store/wal-mart will help make itching and swelling go away. The Sting-Ez I just mentioned had one of mine stop itching a couple minutes after I put it on and it was gone two days later.

don't you have any drug stores that sell ointment for mosquito bites? coz here there a lot of kinds. the smell is like menthol. after you applied to the bitten part, for about 20~30minutes, it wil be healed. no more itching. just don't ever try to scratch it once bitten. directly apply the ointment and it will be like nothing had bitten you. check it out. doesn't cost much. in dollars, its only a matter of 2~5 dollars.

Although you will think this sounds awful, the best thing to put on bites is hemmoroid ointment. Immediately takes the swelling and itch out.

Lots of ice applied to the bite and no scratching. That always does the trick for me! It depends on the size, but if you don't scratch them, they will last two days.
