I have been taking amoxicillin for 4 days for a mild sinus infection. Over the last couple of days I have had itchy skin and a lump in my throat. Also I think I may have oral thrush as I have a sore tongue and the corners of my mouth are inflammed. I am seeing my GP Thursday. Should I continue to take the antibiotics?

About 2 weeks ago I started with cold symtoms and they became worse and I started on antibiotics(amoxicillin). The doctor seemed to think this was a sinus infection. I always get bronchitis and that is where this has seemed to land now that it drained out of my head. The biggest problem is a constant earache. When I went to the doctors they told me there was no infection just alot of fluid behind the eardrum causing the pain. Its now been 2 weeks and I finished the antibiotics. I am still experiencing extreme ear pain in the inner ear and I am taking about 10-15 tabs of ibuprofen a day for the pain.
Any suggestions?

I am 23 right now. Growing up I was never allergic to anything. I had no reason to fear anything because nothing ever affected me. Lately I've developed a couple of allergies, and I'm wondering if there is some type of adult onset of allergies or something? Last month I had a brain MRI, and the moment a drop of the contrast touched my arm I started to scream from the pain (my arm felt like it was being held in a fire). I didn't even know it had touched me until they said they weren't doing anything (Brain MRI's are done with your head in a sort of "cage" laying on a table). Then last night I was having a Sobe Green Tea for refreshment for, um, let's just say I was married Sunday, ok? An hour later my throat started to close and it felt like I was being choked. My husband rushed me to Froedtert and they said I had an allergic reaction to the Green Tea (that was the only new thing I'd had). What can be causing this development in allergies?

At a track meet yesterday, my son and I were drinking from the same water bottle. Well, we had 2 bottles that looked identical and they got switched around by accident several times. Right after the meet, he told me his throat felt scratchy. Well, guess what? He's got strep. Is there anything at all I can do to stop myself from getting it too? Is it too late for me? Nooooooooo!!!!!

I normally drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. I took a drug test today and I had three glasses of water this morning before the test and my pee was clear. (my pee is normally clear), but i found online that testing centers may think I was diluting my pee.

I had a sore throat for a week and then it stopped but after that the left side of my neck swoll up and I could not swallow. I went to the doctor and he thinks it could be lymphona. He did give me some antibiotics and now I can slallow just fine. so does that mean the antibioitcs are reducing the swelling. would antbiotics help swellling if it was a tumor. sorry for mispelled words.

My 10 yr. old Quarter horse had been bitten by tons of bugs while in the pasture. His face was covered in bumps and he just scratched like crazy. I've been applying a mixture of crushed Phenylbutazone (1/2g) to 10 oz. veggie oil. This keeps the flies and bugs away and has reduced the bumps (they are almost gone), and with a light application of Cortaid, the itching has decreased. HOWEVER, I have seen that right under his chin (between his jaw lines) he has a larger than normal swelled soft lump. Almost like a swollen lymphnode (if one is found there). I can tell he has scratched this area profusely. So my Q is this....can I give him Phenylbutazone crushed in his feed to reduce this swelling? If so, should I give the maximum amount of 3g per day or just half that amount. I've given this to him when his ankle showed signs of swelling,as per the vet but not sure about this one. Thanks

In the last year or so, I've notice that I've developed several little 'cysts' around my eyes -- especially on the skin beneath the eye (the place where dark circles often appear). I tried scrubbing them off with a facial scrub, but they won't budge & they're not pimples. Should I see a dermatologist to have them removed? I'm wondering if they're caused by seasonal allergies (something else I've developed recently). Any input?
