SleepMD is a natural product meaning it does not have to go through all the safety testing required by the FDA for legitimate medications. Since it doesn't go through that testing, there is no way to know its safety toward those under 18, since their bodies have not reached full growth and developoment. Many producers of natural products say "not intended for use by persons under 18" to protect themselves and the possible underaged users. If you have problems sleeping and it is a constant problem, please see your doctor. If it is an occasional problem and you are underaged, consider a proven OTC such as Tylenol Simply Sleep which has been FDA tested and is safe for ages 12 and up.
