I have read a little about aids transmissions through heterosexual intercourse and the two pieces of information I have found about this is:

If you are a WOMAN and you sleep unprotected with an infected male partner, you're chances of contracting HIV from that one encounter is approximately 1 in 500 of contracting the virus.

If you are a MAN and you sleep unprotected with an infected famale partner, "The transmission female to male is so small that
its only theoretical, unlike the measurable male to female long term
risk of repeated expose to the same man discussed above."

Also there are many examples of HIV positive women being married to non-infected men who produce children and still the husband is not infected.

Does any one have any links to real and specific data that answer this question? Please provide links and please include those which are specific about number of enounters, genders, and activities.

I've just went to Longs for health screeing, I was suprised that my HBA1c = 6.2 (<6 for non diabetic) but my glucose was normal (81). I had an "one touch ultrasmart" glucose meter and I somestimes used it and the level have always been normal. I ran the glucose tests at home everyday after that (3 days) and also came back to have them check glucose level one more time and it is still normal. However, I am still worried sick because that that HBA1c that I should not take. Could someone please help me to explain my situation. Thank you very much.

About 4 days ago i was playing with my German Sheperd, I gave her a big hug and then i felt my throat starting to sting. I didn't feel a bite it just started stinging and then it spread thru all of my neck, it was awful, there was pain and that awful burning, stinging sensation and i couldn't do anything about it. It didn't itch either, it just stung. For the first couple days i could see just a red spot but no bump, then on the third day the red spot became a red bump and now it itches. I doubt it was a mosquito bite because i've gotten mosquito bites before but it never felt like this. Could it of been a tick or a flea. If it was a tick or flea could this affect my pregnancy, if i am pregnant. Please help...
