It's athlete's foot. It's caused by a fungus, and it can be picked up anywhere you go barefoot, but most likely in a wet environment, like a shower. It's contagious, so I would look for someone who uses the same bathroom as you as the culprit. It's not like a virus where your immune system learns to recognize it and kill it. If you are exposed, and you are vulnerable, you'll get it.

I get that too, it's probably because your toe curls over so much that the area never gets clean and dry. Just remember to particularly wash that spot when you're in the shower and dry it when you get out. Dab some neosporin on it when it starts to crack and it should clear up pretty quickly.
Oh yeah, and someone said use liquid band-aid - I would not do that! That will not help much and it'll hurt a LOT!

It does sound like athlete's foot. Call your doctor, you may need a prescription anit-fungal since over-the-counter isn't doing the trick. Don't just use it until it's healed, use it for the entire time that the doctor has prescribed it for to prevent a relapse. Do you shoes allow much air flow? It's important for people that are prone to athlete's foot not to have damp sweaty feet all day.

Yes, it's probably a mild form of athlete's foot. Make sure you keep your feet clean and DRY. And of course, avoid walking barefoot in public showers, locker rooms, etc. If you use such facilities, get yourself a good pair of shower shoes or flip flops.

I would go see a doctor to make sure that it is athletes foot. It could be something totally different you could have a sugar issue and one thing you do not need is an infection in your foot.

Put some neosporin ointment inbetween the toes and then tape your pinkie toe to your next toe. Clean it twice a day and retape for a week. It will be fine.

If its athletes foot...then you should spray down your bathtub with a dis-infectant....the virus can live in the tub...just like in locker room showers.......keep using the medicine.
