I am diagnosed to be an IGT patient(pre diabetic). I also suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis occasionally and was under methotrexate treatment for two years (low dose). Is my weight loss attributed to diabetes/RA ? How can I reverse this without risk of increasing of blood sugar levels?

Hi Guys
I started with earache 3 weeks ago which was only mild but after a week it became quite severe and I also developed a sore throat and red spots/dots at the top of my mouth near the back of my throat. I have taken a course of antibiotics (finished 2 days ago)but 3 weeks down the line I am still suffering with ear ache, muffled hearing, popping noise in my ear and throat pain (as well as the strange spots).
Do you think I need some more antibiotics or do you think this could be caused by a virus rather than bacteria? Is it normal to last this long and have you any advise on dealing with the ear pain. Anadin doesnt help with the pain anymore as its too severe!

I have had sinusitis problem during adolescence and now I am 46 yrs. Of late, there is a constant mucous congestion in the throat but no other sinus related symptoms like nose block,headache etc.

I have had a skin condtion for years... finally went 2 my family doctor for it... he referred me to a dermatologist... they both had no answer for me... the condition is deep pitted open sores that appear for the most part on my back, but also have appeared on my neck,behind my ears,face,legs and arms. They are round and very sore and leave a deep scar. Does anyone know what this is , what causes it and how to treat it??

What is the gold standard for diagnosis? Can steroid therapy be instituted on clinical evidence alone? And how best to treat it when steroids cause a deterioration of hepatic function by promoting viral replication? Is a combination of peg interferon and steroids justifiable in such patients? Ok. I Feel REALLY dumb posting and asking this but its gotten to the point where I have no where else to turn. I know alot about hypoglycemia and diabetes- I know plenty of people with them.I know what low blood sugar is like- I have suffered from it since I was a child. When I was young it wasnt bad- once every 3 months? Now its gotten to the point of 3-4 times a week. I always eat something and it goes back up and I stop shaking but its really irritating. Today I had a really bad episode, I was in tears... And it feels like it gets worse each day. Problem is I CANT go to my mom... I've tried and she doesnt seem to get it, and I dont know anyone I can go to. Plus I dont have insurance. Im 15. I dont drive yet, and I dont do my own appointments or anything. Plus im afraid that if I DO find a way to get tested, and I dont have anything wrong with me people will think im faking. I dont know what to do... Sometimes I wish I would just faint to fix it. some help would REALLY be appreciated

i have all these pimples on my forhead and it's really bothering me. Im using loreal pure zone and spot treatment but it doesnt work plus it hurts when placed on the pimple. I've never had this problem before and it's really starting to annoy me. coz I've tried to not prick it but it still doesnt go away. it'll go away after a few weeks not days!! please help!!!

I have Avascular Necrosis-bi polar...and have had 2 hip replacements one one hip alone...I also have Spinal stenosis and the pain is immense. But, I have been using 500-600 mgs. morphine sulfate for years, and it is not working as well anymore. Is there anything else that I can use that doesn't make one euphorious?

I have a hard time getting any sleep because of my coughing which has not been remedied by the cough syrup I have been taking for more than 2 days now. I have developed a sore throat due to my persistent coughing that is caused by an irritating "something" in my throat.

I asked a similar question before but new details. I orginally had a area below my elbow that when discovered looked like ring worm. It had rasied outline and flat center. Now is flaking. Inbetween then I also developed more spots. Only this rash started on my feet and hands, spread to my legs and arms. The bumps were small and red. Some of them were a bullseye designed. Now some of the spots are shrinking while others are expanding into larger spots whit red outlines and white centers. The doctors are unable to tell me what it is. I was wondering if anyone had any information on what it could be, etc. Thank you in advance.
