If you have had it all this time it could be related and could be scar tissue and should have been taken care of back then. If it's new it probably is not related and you should see a Dr. Drink lots of water anyway and cranberry juice until you get there. good luck

Minor symptoms may persist in some 5 to 10 percent patients whose gallbladders have been removed. These symptoms are thought to be caused by spasm of the lower end of the common bile duct. However, there are rarely severe or disabling. Most postoperative symptoms can be adequately relieved by antispasmodic medication.
If the gallbladder has been removed, they cannot re-form stones in the gallbladder. However, a very small percent of patients may re-form stones in the common bile duct or in the stump of the cystic duct which has been left behind.
When patients re-form stones in the commn bile duct reoperation is necessary. This is a serious procedure but the great majority of people will recover.
There is no way to prevent stones from re-forming, except that one should guard against infection and follow a sane, sensible, bland low-fat diet.

you didn't mention what type of gallbladder disease you had 6 years ago, if it was gull stones this may be a link because you maybe prone to making stones, in that case you could well have kidney stones and one has travelled up and got stuck in one of your tubes, this makes it very painful when you urinate. or it could be just a plain and simple urine infection although you do not mention that there is a stinging burning pain every time you go for a wee. anyhow what ever way you should go along to you GP and get this checked out

Your gallbladar does not have anything to do with urination. If you are experiencing pain when you urinate, you should see your doctor.

you didn't mention what kind of gall bladder disease, or even if you still have your gall bladder--but in any case i can think of gall bladder disease wouldn't cause painful urination.
