I know it has to do with your sinus, and the one on the left side of my face is totally killing me!!! Im sitting here TOTALLY miserable. I took 2 pills for sinus infection [same medicine], that only made me feel better alittle bit, then I took a claritan, and thats not really working! I've been drinking ginger ale all day, but the syrup I think is irritating my throat more (water tastes too nasty when your sick), on top of that blowing my nose like crazy, and sleeping on and off!

HEELPP!! I have a low tolerance for being sick, and im about to lose my mind!!!!

My father was diagnosed in April. I'm curious to know how long others out there with this disease survived and how their quality of life is.

Thanks.

I have had this for the past few days and its buggin me-I have had an awful sore throat that comes and goes(do ya know what i mean? sometimes its really bad and sometimes i barely notice it), headaches, ichy throat and mouth(really itchy), a bad productive cough, and weirdest of all some dark red dots on the roof of my mouth. Sometimes I lose my voice for a while.
I feel GREAT-otherwise-I have energy and I am happy its just a wierd inconvincence. I don't "feel" sick I just have these symtoms.
Any ideas what this is?
I want to still dance(likr i said I feel fine) but I sound like I am @ death's door rasping-advice please!
Its getting on my nerves and getting worse.

what are the signs?

My husband was recently diagnosed with CMML, due to a bone marrow test.(he will be 74 in December). His white cell count was 16000th and went up to 18000th. last test was 16700th.He was told as the result of last test that was normal, but his primary Dr. was concerned when it elevated to 16000th's. What is a normal range?
He is being treated for low platelets. 1 - 1 1/2 years ago they showed up at about 45 (thousandths)...since then he has given up smoking & drinking and regular coffee. The platelet count (last tested)was about 65.
He has none of the symptoms related to CMML (weakness..shortness of breath..anemia..bleeding..bruising..recurrent infections..enlarged spleen)and his hematoligist doesn't seem to be to concerned about it. Saw him last month and he doesn't want to see him for another 3 months.
Hematoligist says platelets can be added to do this procedure, and would probably be an over night stay in the hospital.
Back to original question. What is normal range for White Blood Cells?

My girlfriend & I have been together for 6 months now & neither of us has been with anyone else since we got together. All of a sudden she has genital herpes. We have unprotected sex. I am going to get tested as soon as possible, but is it possible that I don't have it? Could I have given it to her & it took this long to show?

There's this... Thing that happens to me evry once in a while... Its really frustrating... Here's what happens... Sometime, mostly at night... Every sound that comes to me seems to come at a great speed... Like it sounds like evrything is going extremely fast... And so when I move... It feels like I'm moving in slow motion... So due to that, I start moving extra fast to catch up with every sound that I hear... But when I do this, I'm concious that I'm moving extra fast... And its freaky... It freaks me out, and I can't help it when it happens... What's wrong with me? I don't do drugs, i don't drink often, and I do smoke... But I don't think that has anything to with it...

Having being confirmed with IBS recently after suffering for 3 years I was prescribed Colofac. I have also been taking any anti diarreahh tablets to the maximum on a daily basis as well as Buscapan and the occasional pain killer. Is there anything else I can take to stop the misery of constant stomach cramps and bloating not to mention the hours spent sitting on the toilet in absolute agony.

I'm a 15 year old male who has a rash down in my genital region. It is very mild; light red with white tops and it almost just looks like the pores are swollen but I'm not sure that's it. I was very scared that it could've been an STD even though I have never had sexual contact with another person, but I don't think that is it. The only other detail is that it usually smells pretty funky. Can anyone help?

I had a ppd test in june on my left arm at my pediatrician 4 college & it was positive. I didn't trust the diagnosis. I went to an infectious disease dctr 40 yrs in the practice regarded as best infec. disease doc. in my state. He gave me a ppd on my right arm
& it was a smaller mark & he read it as neg.

He said come back before I went to college to be sure, but this time I saw his partner for insurance reasons. Another I.F. doctor, 26 years in the field. I got a ppd from him in the left arm and the mark looks similar to when I got my ppd from the pediatrician.

It gets read on Tuesday. I think I'm positive. I had a chest x-ray in june & it was neg. Im not sure what to believe anymore.

How confident should I be if this doc. also says I'm neg.? I am unsure because I notice a bump, but the 1st I.F. said it was negative. The last thing I want is to be mis-diagnosed. Can I get active tb even if this is mis-diagnosed? Frankly I want to put off treatment till after colleg if pos.

I need someone who will a) believe my symptoms and not blow me off with anxiety meds, b) provide needed medical documentation based on symptoms only as the glucose tolerance test will not prove this diagnosis in most cases, c) prescribe anything that may help such as a glucose monitoring watch so i can know how to better manage this condition.

I am tired of people telling me to just eat protein and take pills to calm down. That is NOT the answer! Documentation all over the Internet states otherwise and I cannot eat protein. Surely a doctor in this state must be willing to listen to me and help me and document this.

For one of my classes, I have to write a 3 page essay answering the question, Is cancer good or bad? I can think of a million reasons why it would be bad, but why would my professor ever think that it could be a good thing?
