Check out a product called sambucol, it's homeopathic and available just about everywhere. It was developed by an Israeli virologist using the black elderberry. It is a potent natural anti-viral along with olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract and colloidal silver. Check them out online and good luck!

Bed rest, eat healthy food (not junk food) if there's no nausea, drink plenty of water and OTC flu medicines.... that's all really once you're down with it. See a doctor if you don't recover in 2-3 weeks time.

To break a flu cycle, get vaccinated prior to next flu season (usually winter-spring, so get vaccinated by late autumn latest). Keep personal hygiene high during flu season. Wash your hands often. Avoid poking your nose, eyes and mouth as you are likely to catch flu that way, and it is probably as efficient, if not more, than someone with flu sneezing directly in front of you.

Hope you get well soon!

There's no sure-fire way to keep from getting the flu, but keep your immune system healthy by getting plently of rest, taking a daily multi-vitamin, exercising, eating a healthy diet which includes plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit and drinking plenty of water.

Also wash your hands often, especially after being out in public
Get a flu shot each year
Use a humidifier in your home if you live in a dry climate

and of course, avoid people who may have the flu

Always, always wash your hands thoroughly. Keep hands away from your face. Use a paper towel to turn off public restroom taps. Eat as healthy as possible, and get your rest.
