I have had this for the past few days and its buggin me-I have had an awful sore throat that comes and goes(do ya know what i mean? sometimes its really bad and sometimes i barely notice it), headaches, ichy throat and mouth(really itchy), a bad productive cough, and weirdest of all some dark red dots on the roof of my mouth. Sometimes I lose my voice for a while.
I feel GREAT-otherwise-I have energy and I am happy its just a wierd inconvincence. I don't "feel" sick I just have these symtoms.
Any ideas what this is?
I want to still dance(likr i said I feel fine) but I sound like I am @ death's door rasping-advice please!
Its getting on my nerves and getting worse.

Hi there!!
It sounds like you have Strep throat. I'd make an appointment ASAP and get them to give you a swab test (where they use a q-tip like brush to swab the back of your throat) to test for Strep. The sooner you go the better, because if you let it go to long it can get progressively worse and ultimately cause more serious problems. Hope this helps!! :)

well it is either tonsillitis, if you have your tonsils, or strep throat..i have the same thing right now..my symptoms comes and go, through out the day.I felt fine an hour ago. Sometimes there is fever involved, sometimes there isn't. it's pretty uncomfortable at time, your probably going to need antibiotics..but in the mean time..gargle with warm salt water at least every hour, try drinking hot tea with honey, or just some honey by it's self..this was also help the symptoms.

It sounds like an infection. The only thing that will cure it is the proper antibiotic. It could be strep throat or your tonsils may be infected and have to be removed. The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor.

this could be any number of things ranging from "fever blisters" to streptococcus to even an allergic reaction, If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, seizures, the spots become lesions or sores, you develop a high fever, develop swelling then please go to the emergency room immediately. if the spots do not go away soon, or if your condition degenerates then seek out your county free clinic. lacking that you can go to the emergency room and state that you cannot afford the bills, even with insurance your state will have a medical assistance program which often will cover even the copay. There is no shame in not being able to afford medical bills, it is very common, and most community hospitals will simply write off the loss .

In support of your sore throat, add little salt in hot water and gargle thrice a day. Also, add 5 black pepper corns, 2 cloves whole, a small piece of cinnamon stick, a small piece of ginger, 7 basil leaves and put them together in 200 ml water to boil. Drink hot like soup thrice a day until you feel better. Chew a piece of clove after each meal. In case of very complicated and severe sore throat, take one tablet of Erythromycin/500mg twice a day for 5 days to get complete relief. For your headache, you can go for Paracetamol/500 mg to supress the pain. Take care and be in good health.
