Acne is the affection of the oil glands (sebaceous glands) in the skin. These oil glands normally empty its contents (sebum) on the surface of the skin via the opening of the hair follicle (pore). Due to various causes like hormones, pollution, dirt, etc this opening gets blocked. Therefore the oil cant come on the surface of skin. As a result the oil gland goes on swelling inside and eventually ruptures.There is spillage of the contents in the deeper layers of skin. Normally there are bacteria present in the skin which start destroying these contents..... this attracts an inflammatory response. Thus a pimple/acne is formed

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bacteria trapped under the skin, causing an eruption. Oil traps the bacteria and dirt. Puberty causes increased oil production.

dirt and oils accumulate in your skin pores, clogging them up and causing infection- that's the pimple.
