I have just gotten Chicken Pox. I have never had them before. I don't know of anyone that has them that would have been infected with them but, I have been around someone who has had shingles. Can a person get Chicken Pox from Shingles? Does Shingles carry a virus for Chicken Pox? I do work at Wal-Mart so I could have been around a customer who had them. I just wanted to know if I person could get them from shingles?

We know that smoking can cause lung cancer and the sun can cause skin cancer. What about other things that cause cancer? I've heard that underarm deodorant can cause breast cancer. I've heard that preservatives in food can cause different cancers. There are rumors about drinking acidic beverages such as soda or orange juice can lead to esophageal cancer. Now they are talking about processed meats leading to stomach cancer. What others have you heard or what are some things that you feel aren't being talked about enough? Cancer scares the crap out of me. I hope we can find a cure or least on our own find some way of avoiding it. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I would like to send my words of encouragement or assistance to a neighbor who is going through chemo. Without placing pity on them. Any comfort, object, words that could help. Anyone working with cancer patients that hears their needs.

The rash is better, but the pain on my forehead and temple comes and goes--very uncomfortable. The pain clinic doctor put me on 10 mg. Amitriptyline at bedtime 2 days ago, and both nights I've wakened with terrible itching around my eye and on my head and scalp. My icebag is my source of pain relief and believe me the itching is painful! This morning the itching is 'hanging on' and I have moments of really bad itching and then it gets better, I've had to use ice once. I just took Tylenol and 1/2 a Xanax (5 mg.). It's better at the moment. Could this be a side effect of the new medication? If so, why would I just itch where the shingles has attacked and not all over? It's on the right side of my face. I take Lyrica too. I am better except for this ongoing pain and now the itching. Any suggestions or comments--please!! thanks

For many years now, I have had trouble breathing. Although I've been to the hospital and done countless tests, the doctors figured that there is nothing wrong with me. One doctor ruled out asthma, another one prescribed me ventolin. It doesn't seem to work.

Here's what my experience everyday.

I find it very hard to breathe and it seems that air won't go in my lungs as I want it to go in. I often have to take very deep breaths in order to feel comfortable. Often, it doesn't work so I have to try to yawn to be able to get those deep breaths in. If I am unable to get a deep breath, I have to get up and walk perhaps near something that will give me air (fan or window). It's been years and nobody has a clue of what it could be. They all tell me that it could be stress. I don't understand though. It happens all the time no matter what I do. Sometimes it's not as bad as other days. Sometimes, it's just hard to breathe 3-6 times a day, but other times,
