I'm a 15 year old male who has a rash down in my genital region. It is very mild; light red with white tops and it almost just looks like the pores are swollen but I'm not sure that's it. I was very scared that it could've been an STD even though I have never had sexual contact with another person, but I don't think that is it. The only other detail is that it usually smells pretty funky. Can anyone help?

i think that you should visit a doctor for some medication and some advise but if you whant you can buy desityn or any cream that is for diaper rash you see sometimes our skins get irritated like babies skin do and some of this creams work and this hot season may be also the cause, the skin sweats alot and this may cause skin rash and irritations so use a cream also on top of the cream you may put some baby powder so the skin stays dry and cool try not to use heavy clothes and about what you said about not having sex yet it is better to abstinence you see you are young youll have time for that latter but remember always use protection and be careful ok good luck and wish you get well soon

It is a fungal rash...it comes from heat and sweat. Try some Lotrimin spray or other spray or cream ....in the drugstore look for products that treat jock itch.

Go to the dr. even if its not an std, u may need medicine to make it go away, because it probably wont go away on its own. The smell could indicate some sort of bacteria or fungus.

could be fungal or bacterial, you need to go to the Dr to find out. Medication for fungal stuff helps bacteria grow, and vise versa so you need a Dr to figure out which meds to use. It could be a serious infection.GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!

Sounds like a simple yeast. The area is damp and dark and it probably just over grew.

yes you need to go to your doctor for some medication for the rash and you need to take a bath in the morning and another before you go to bed.

funny, if u never had sex, then how can it be herpes? but have u ever kissed a chick full on the mouth, that perhaps maybe she had herpes in there? u never know with these things dude.
first thing u should do. see a doctor man.

soap&water. dry yourself well. use astringent (sea breeze ect..) libraly and regularly. sounds like it is heat rash. (diaper rash for adults) baby creams an baby powder will also help to keep it dry.
