I'm not a doctor but I'm guessing that you might have a detached retina, or worse. You need to see a doctor IMMEDIATELY or risk losing you sight forever...

there's an illness ( <- for want of a better word) that causes pressure behind the eyeball and this can cause blurred vision or loss of sight, so maybe this could be the cause

There are several things that might, including detached retina or glaucoma. Get your eyes examined: The doctor can tell you more.
