My Grandmother has diabetes. She checks her bloodsugar every day but refuses to stick to any form of diet. She uses splended but has people bring her icecream and other junk. Her bloodsugar levels are around 170 in the afternoon. I would like to know.....if her levels are acceptible should I be so concerned about what she is eating. She thinks that because her levels arent high it doesnt matter how she eats.

i have type 2diabete .my sugar goes very well when i do activites and regular exercises.i don't like to take medecine at all ....but i don't know when my glucose level going fine do i have to take medecine still?last night on tv show i saw when body stop to produce insulin and then glucose goes high , affect immune system which increase complication in future. and what kind of sexual cause effect?when i am perfect with my sugar level do my body still needs any insulin?

I have a chiuaua(or how ever you spell it) and she hasn't had her rabies vaccination shot in 8 years! She has been acting very different! She's very irritable, has a loss of appetite, her bark doesn't sound the same, she seems to be distracted, and her jaw will drop out of nowhere and she'll like bite as if she's eating something but there's nothing there! She is just acting really weird and she has bit my mom and my dad!! please help me guys.

A couple of weeks ago I got myself tested for all STDs including HIV, I found out I had genital warts, all other STD came back negative, i had unprotected (silly I know!) sex with my partner 5 months ago, Im worried that although my tests came back negative, it was too soon to detect hiv, sphillus and herpes etc.
so my question is... how soon can STD screening/tests detect things such as herpes or hiv?

then throws up...when he smells/looks at food..he's always done this..Dr. prescribed Prilosec which is NOT working..now suggests chest x-ray (possible for a 2 y/o?) Vomits all medication.... Today Dr. gives nebulizer...I have suggested a pediatric gastro specialist...we're in S. E. North Carolina...ANY REAL speculation is appreciated!

For the past few weeks my boyfriend has had a nodule under the skin at the base of the back of his head...near the top of the neck. It's right on the spine. The other day he was touching it an moved it over and it made him really nauseous. He is planning to go to the doctor next week. What could this be? Cancer? Tumor?

My nana has alzheimers, and I want to spend more time with her. I didn't grow up with her in my life too much, just during the summers. Consequently, I don't know much about her. It figures she has alzheimers, so not a lot of her memory's left. She's too old to play cards, which she loved to do. She's in a lot of pain, so physical activities are limited. Any activity ideas are appreciated, and can at least give me a starting point fpr brainstorming. Suggestions?
