Cancer probably involve abnormal growth of cells. Some viruses such as causing AIDS tends to eliminate certain cells. I just wonder if it could be possible to regulate abnormal cell growth by exposing them to virus of suitable type.

I went to the school nurse a few years back and she said I had nothing to worry about. But now I have a few more lumps. Should I get blood work done to see if it is cancerous or some type of gland issue?

some kind of shot because of the extreme edema in his legs and feet and wanted him to stay in hospital, he refused ( from old school if you can't pay don't do it) ANyway, on Friday he went to his regular doctor who prescribed a pill to eliminate the liquids from lungs I think, its not working, Today, I am very concerned his legs and feet are very swolllen, he is vomiting blood and will not go to ER, insists on waiting until his dr. appt. on Friday. Can someone call an ambulance for someoone else even if they refuse to go to the hospital, I know he won'tlet the paramedics take him.......Just so worried and don't know what to do. He is 77 yrs. old and such an wonderful person. He also won't apply for medicare, I am pretty sure he would qualify.

I'm on morphine, Zolft, and recently had steroid shots for pain in the spine with no luck whatsoever. I see a dr. for pain management and all he does is give me pain killers which only take a minute part of the pain away and the fatigue is driving me up a wall.I'm trying all kinds of essential oils for natural pain relief (some help a little) and I'm wondering what else there is out there for RELIEF. Thank you for any input!!!

My best friend thinks she might have syphilis. She has ONE strange bump, which, according to her, looks similar to one of these ( http://depts.washington.edu/nnptc/online_training/std_handbook/gallery/images/condylomata2.jpg ). I told her it's impossible to have syphilis if you're a virgin, which she is. (She's never had a boyfriend, and she's my best friend, so I'm pretty sure she's not lying about that.)
Her logic is that it MUST be possible to get an STD without having sex; otherwise, how did STDs originate?
So, who's right? Can a virgin have syphilis?

I've recently been prescribed advair for my mild asthma. I haven't started taking it yet because i read some of the warnings and they scared me. One warning said that one ofthe ingredients in it caused death in some people. My doctor insists it's safe, but last year he also said that using albuterol everyday was safe, and now he's changed his mind about that. I'm wondering if the risks are worth treating my mild asthma. I usually use my inhaler 2-4 times a day for mild wheezing, usually after i wake up and after i eat. I know that's to often, but are steroids necessary for this? I tried singulair and it didn't really help all that much.. Please if you are on advair leave me a comment. Thanks

I have been suffering from chronic pain for three years, and I'm only 16. Right now the doctors are looking at Fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, though they aren't very confident in what they might find. I've already had three b.lood tests, an X-ray, and an MRI. I still have yet to get another b.lood test, another X-ray, and a sleep study. I've also been researching lyme disease.
My symptoms include:
-Fatigue
-Headaches (tension and migrane)
-Muscle and joint pain
-Especially.... Back pain
-Shoulder pain
-Neck pain
-Swollen glands
-Depression
-Memory loss
-Loose joints
-Hyper-flexability
-EXTREMELY overly sensitive skin (I bruise from mosquito bites even when I don't scratch.)
-Insomnia
-Unrestorative sleep (when I do sleep, even if it's for 10 hours.)
-Bowel problems
-Stomach pain
-Bladder problems
-Weak muscles
-Knees sponteneously give out
-Under weight (even though I eat TONS)
-Twitching in upper body (and face on rare occasion)
-Restless legs
-Tremor

...help?
