SERUM GLUTAMIC OXALOACETIC TRANSAMINASE--is an enzyme of "citric acid cycle".This is increased in increased breakdown of cells and active disease of heart and liver. 520 is when jaundice is present or immediately after heart attack
The reading comes to normal after the liver/heart heals.
