Barbers, hairstylists all use a special spray and a dipping solution inbetween cuts/shaving. It is highly unlikely you have HIV, but if your worried about it, get tested.

Another deadly disease to be concerned about is HCV, a liver disease that eventually can cause other organs to become damaged. HCV is more wide spread now than AIDS.

The spray can I have read kills germs associated with certain diseases such as HIV, but does not mention HCV.

Again, to be safe, get tested. It will more than likely put your mind at ease.

You can't get HIV from an unchanged barber's blade even if it had been previously used on an HIV-positive client and hadn't been cleaned. HIV cannot live outside the environment of moist blood/bodily fluid. I assume the blade had been dry for at least a little while.

Hello,

Hiv is blood borne. If an hiv person uses a blade and he or she cut their skin and blood came out and immediately use that on you it could be a chance, but it is a very low risk.

Remember that hiv get less stronger to infect other people as soon as it is being exposed to the air. If the blood is dried up, i honestly think it has to risk to you.

But if you are worried you would have to get tested. Rememebr the window period. 13 weeks up to 6 months.

Take care and good luck

You have more chance of winning the lottery then being in a place crash on the same day than being HIV positive. HIV cannot last long when exposed to air. please educate yourself on the virus regardless, then maybe the myths and misconceptions about hiv/aids will be eliminated. Just for your piece of mind go for a test anyway, its better to know than not know

They never change the blades unless their dull. They clean them after every use , with WD40 and alcohol. This usually kills germs and blood. You should be alrite! If youre that concerned have an aids test done.
