I'm on morphine, Zolft, and recently had steroid shots for pain in the spine with no luck whatsoever. I see a dr. for pain management and all he does is give me pain killers which only take a minute part of the pain away and the fatigue is driving me up a wall.I'm trying all kinds of essential oils for natural pain relief (some help a little) and I'm wondering what else there is out there for RELIEF. Thank you for any input!!!

I've had fibromyalgia for more than 20 years and you can get better. Start by treating you body very well. Eat organic/all natural foods, yes they cost more but it's worth it. take some whole food vitamin/mineral supplements. Wild Oats is great. The employees are very helpful. gentle exercises like walking and stretching will help. I have two great books "inside fibromyalgia by Mark J. Pellegrino MD and " a survival manual by Devin Starlin" Find these books and read them if you haven't yet. I take advice from anyone and everyone. keep the good and toss the bad. what works for one may not work for another but the only way to know is to try. I have found different people have the illness at different degrees. I have had to take the strongest pain meds at times. I took Oxycontin daily for a few months during a really bad time. I hate taking drugs but at times we need them. listening to our bodies is important and accepting the illness as part of life. I will not let it stop me from doing the things I enjoy most .

You need to go to a different doctor and give them a detailed history of your medical condition, only then can you get a true diagnosis of what your problem "really" is. Zoloft is an ant-deoressant and does nothing to control pain. You need to figure out what is causing the pain in your spine. All pain is NOT fibromyalgia, figure out what it is and treat that.

You can read my blog on my 360 page about Fibro if you like, but you probably won't like it if you read it

Yoga
Tai Chi
Swimming
Low Impact Aerobics
Stretching
Walking

Each doctor/specialist has their FAVORITE medications they prescribe.

Unfortunately there isn't a ONE CURE ALL PILL. You have to keep at it. Trying many several until you get the right mix for YOU!

Do a search on Fibromyalgia. Look for support groups in your area/hospital. Network with the doctor/nurses/hospital etc.
