Omega 3 fish oils. Omega 3 on its own, no 6. Take lots of these. Look for the highest strength capsule you can get and take about 10 per day. Helps reduce inflammation which makes everything more painful. Wonder product.

i have severe fibromyalgia pain. i have read through all of the fibromyalgia websites, and tried nearly everything that they say may help. Ive heard acupunture can work wonders, but i have a severe fear of needles. ive tried out tons of different herbal medicines, and muscle relaxers/antidepressants/sleeping pills (non-addictive ones such as lunesta) all of which has helped me to a certain degree, but i was still in severe pain.
I finally decided to try massage therapy (its expensive, which is why i didnt try it in the first place). It was absolutely unbelievable! im currently on a lower dose of antidepressants, and off the muscle relaxers. I still use the sleeping pills as i cant survive with such crappy sleep. This is all because of massage therapy. I currently go 3 times a week, because i dont have the money to go more than that. i used to go only once a week due to money, and even then i felt an amazing difference! I would definately recommend trying this!!
Another thing that helped me was this special bed. It is a memory-foam bed called self-adjusting mattress. you can look them up online. It takes the pressure off your tender points, so you wake up without severly sore muscles!
****massage therapy is not done by a regular massouse (spelled very wrong). you should look for massage therapists in your area. They may be physical therapists, somebody who is trained specifically for massage therapy, and it is possible that a massouse at a spa could be trained as a massage therapist. most massouses do not know of fibromyalgia, and therefor would not know how to relax the muscles of your tender points and so on. They may end up putting you in more pain if they dont know what theyre doing.
please try this! i hate to think of people in unbearable pain because of fibromyalgia. I have been there, and i know how much it can interfere with your life... relationships, work and just day-to-day living. massage therapy is a bit pricey but definately worth it! i honestly dont know how i survived the pain without it! the SAM bed is really expensive but also absolutely worth it!

A good friend of ours at church has fibromyalgia. She has been taking a natural product called Reliv for a couple of months and is doing a lot better. It has been a tremendous blessing in our lives as well. Reliv has been featured in BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, and this month cover to cover in Success from Home magazine. I would be happy to tell you more, just drop me a line.
Have a great day,
Michael

You should check this sciatica natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

Bless your heart and welcome to the Fmily! Unfortunately FMS is a trial and error with treatments. What works on one doesn't necessarily work with another. It takes time, effort and a good repoire with your doctor. Let me suggest a website called fibrohugs.com. There you can find all sorts of links to help and read what other sufferers have tried and there are message boards for help and support, chat rooms and everything under the sun. Best of all, joining it is free. The people there are fantastic and you will see what I mean when I say fmily!

Hi. I know from a friend who has this, that excercise (she walks ALOT) is very helpful.. Also, check the website for a product called "Greens +" - I take it just as a healthy supplement, but I've read on the website itself that it's also good for fibro. Not the greatest tasting thing, and it's about $50-60 Canadian for a fair-sized containter, but it's really good for you. Good luck, whatever you opt to do.. : )

I am so sorry that you have fibro. I know already about 5 people that have this disease/disorder.
One of them is doped up on morphine.
One of them takes the stuff you are taking.
And another gave up the meds she was taking and started using medicinal marijuana.
Keep moving is a suggestion.
Stay out of cold weather or places.
Go to websites such as www.fmaware.org, www.afsafund.org or do a search on any search engine and you will pull up millions of pages on fibro.
Good luck.

Acupuncture will help you
You may also want to look at something called the Chi Machine. It has helped enourmously with with a some people I know who have fybromyalgia.
You can get it from many sites on the net, here is just one site that supplies it.
http://www.naturalwayhealth.co.uk/chi-machine-sun-ancon.shtml
I personally know of sufferers like yourself who have fantastic results with this. I wouldn't suggest it unless I thought it may help you.
HOpe this helps you, best wishes and good health.
