My 18 month old daughter is teething quite alot. I just notice that most of her front top teeth has gaps and her three front bottom teeth are close together and crooked .. could this be a problem while growing up?

Heres a pic of her teeth : http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f396/mekiasheena/teeth.jpg

I have tried everything. Even her doctor and dentist are out of ideas. She will bite the heck out of me when I try to brush her teeth. She will not open her mouth. She will not even do it herself. I let her pick out her own toothbrush and toothpaste and it is a good tasting kids toothpaste and a cool toothbrush. I tried making a game out of it and let her brush my teeth too. Nothing helps! She just got some 2 year old molars in and they are already getting yellow. I am worried and out of ideas!!

I have to have this done along with root canals and caps and fillings on the majority of my teeth. I was just wondering if the deep cleaning works and will it make my teeth fall out?

How many years have you practiced, and is it private?
Do you have a specialization?
Where did you go to dental school?
How much do you work?
How much money do you make?

Thank you!

I had root treatment done on one of my tooth and the filling then fell out. The tooth behind it also had a filling and it fell out. I can hardly eat or drink with those teeth as its so sore. When I look in my mouth the places where the filling has fallen out - the gum - looks black. I have been told by a family member it cant be rotten gum its left over filling but I dont know. I dont want to go to my dentist because all he does is moan and he isnt very nice. Every single thing he has done to my mouth hasnt worked. So can I just leave and and bear the pain or should I go and see the dentist??

My daughter is a few months shy of three. At her dental checkup, the dentist discovered her two front bottom teeth are slightly loose, and on the X-ray, the adult teeth are getting ready to come in! She (the dentist) was quite surprised and said her teeth might grow in crooked, but other than that there's no real problem and nothing we can or should do about it. She grew in all her baby teeth pretty early. Has anyone had a similar experience, or have any advice?

I have a friend (ashame to say) that doesn't brush her teeth as much as human should. I workout with her in the morning and thats the worse time to be around her. The thing is, she showers like 2 times a day but hardly brush her teeth. FYI I know because I can see stuff caked up on her teeth...ugh gross! To me I don't care if she showers 100 times a day. If she doesn't wash her mouth, theres no use. How do I tell her nicely that she needs to wash and brush her teeth without hurting her feelings or embarassing her?

Im going to go to a dentist where they do sedation dentistry and I was wondering what all do they do after they give the pills (valium) to you? do they still give you the shots as normal or is there a different procedure? also, I have taken valium before for anxiety and im afraid that they wont give me enough due to my high tolerance of medicine. Pretty much im looking for a lot of basic info and experiences about the whole sedation thing because im terrified of the dentist from a previous bad experience with one. also if anyone has a better suggestion than sedation im open to anything right now. Thanks to all whose helpful.

We sometimes get tooth sensitivity when we hear the sound produced by pulling a metal sheet against rough surface

My daughter needs 3 root canals. Is this normal? We are very concerned to get this work done to her at this age. She will be put under anesthetic. She also has a tiny piece of flesh in between her top front teeth and her gum. We have been told that she may need braces later on. Why not just take it out? Thanks for any info!!!

When I sleep and sometimes, when I am not paying attention, while I am awake I grind my teeth. It is a bad habit that I have no control over. When I wake up in the morning my jaw hurts from biting down so hard. What causes this and how can I stop it? I have been told that I should try a mouth guard while I sleep, but I can't sleep with a mouth guard. I think this bad habit started while I was in the navy as a result of stress, but I don't know. I just want to be able to stop. can someone help?
