I have to have this done along with root canals and caps and fillings on the majority of my teeth. I was just wondering if the deep cleaning works and will it make my teeth fall out?

If you need a deep cleaning there is no way around it. Yes it does work depending on how advanced your peridontal disease was to begin with. If your dentist recommends the cleaning, chances are you have teeth that can be saved. The cleaning does not make your teeth fall out. The lack of care prior to the cleaning is what causes tooth loss. It is great you are finally taking steps to try to save your teeth. Don't worry. Dental care is not painful like it used to be years ago and you will leave there relieved that you have a healthier smile. Good luck!

The deep cleaning is about the most important thing you can do. I have been in dentistry for 18 years and if you are going to spend money on root canals, crowns and fillings then you must get your gums as healthly as possible first. Your gums are like the foundation to your house. If they aren't healthly then it doesn't matter how good your teeth are. So get the periodontal root planing first!! It is so important!!

It can go down a few millimeters. It will not make your
teeth fall out. In fact, it will help your gums reattach to
your teeth (a little at least) to prevent them from falling
out. If you have a good dentist they will numb your mouth.
I had it done over two sessions and didn't feel anything at all.
No soreness later that day or the next days either. Probably
depends on the amount of gap you have in you tooth/gum recess.

I agree with him about the dentists only charging $80 a quad. And the $800 is what you would pay in my office. However I don't know why it would take 4 visits. We either do halves or the whole mouth at once. I don't think we have ever done 1 quad at a time.

It only works if you are extremely good after with your dental care like brushing 3 times a day, flossing every day, and using either rota tips or sme other device around your gums. If you don't plan on doing this dental care daily, then you are wasting your money.
