I'm having a blood test in a couple of days and the last time I had a blood test was horrible because I nearly fainted.
It's not needles im scared of, its where it is (bend of my arm) and the thought of sucking out blood out of my vein!
Does any one have any tips to how I can remain calm whilst having a blood test?

Do I need PAP smears or other tests for cancer? I had stage 1 cancer twice already and it was treated by D&C.(Many years ago) But after my hysterectomy I just thought I didn't need to think about it anymore. My sister thinks I'm wrong. Does anyone know the answer to this?

my dad got married in may and in that 1st week my new step-mom put me on a diet.and now the only thing i can eat is fruits and vegitables.ever since i have gotten off my diet i can only eat 1 meal or my stumache will start 2 hurt.i am 13 and now i only way about 110 pounds but i can not gain waight because i can only eat lunch because by the time it is dinner time i am still full from lunch and i never eat breakfast.what do i do?

Well I've heard of many women not knowing they are pregnant for 3 months because their period didn't miss until then. I asked about this and it's completely common I guess (cant remember how it was explained) anyways if its common not to miss a period til then when will an at home pregnancy test actually work?
I got my period the week following unprotected sex but am experiencing many signs of pregnancy. It has only been 13 days since the intercourse took place. Would a pregnancy test work that soon?

I was vacationing in Niagara Falls 3 weeks ago. In the middle of the night I experienced abdominal pain that was the worst pain I've ever felt. I couldn't sit, stand, or lie down. We ended up going to the ER where they did blood tests and xrays. They determined that I needed a laxative. I took the laxative as directed...and though it worked like it should have, I still get little twinges of the same pain. I have a history of constipation which is why I wasn't surprised...but that laxative didn't seem to help the pain. It hasn't been so bad and intense as it was, so I haven't been back to the doctor. But I'm not sure if I should be concerned. I mean, they took xrays, so they could see what was going on. But should I see my family doctor? Could something else be wrong? Also-I was on my period that day. But this pain was NOT cramps. I just started birth control, and by the time I was at the ER I had been on my period for 22 days because I was still adjusting to the pills. Any ideas?

This is crazy but one of my inner labias hangs out a bit and i accidently got this stuff on it that kills skin!(dont ask hah), so the top of it is like dead skin, its hard compared to the rest n its kinda hurting me n is more uncomfortable than before! wat can i do to fix this at home? i feel like cuttin it off =/ but i think the inside u can still feel, im not sure. should i completely kill some of the skin so i can cut it off or something? I've had type2 with insulin for about 5 years. I also suffer with depression which I'm sure has a lot to do with it. I am so addicted to pepsi, chocolate and white bread!!!!! I just can't live without these things and sometimes even "binge". It's like a horrible secret in my life!!!
I don't know what to do!!!!! Logically, I know this is killing me but I can't help myself. The cravings are just too strong!!! I feel so desperate. I'm just being honest and trying to see if there is anyone out there experiencing something similar. Or is it just me?????? I've heard sugar cravings can be a part of diabetes but I didn't know these could take control of my life. I feel like a drug addict who's out of control!!!! Help!!!

The doc is a gynecologist who also said that once a person has the virus and the symptoms disappear, it's impossible to detect whether or not it's still in the body. I'm skeptical, because I also read that 70% of women who have it are able to get rid of it on their immune system's own accord. But I'm worried about my friend who had HPV, because she doesn't use protection. I feel like something is wrong in the logic here, but I don't want to freak her out unnecessarily by bringing up something false.
