use a tampon and you can swim (stick looking white thing because sanitary pads will just swell up like a wet nappy and you might leak, tampons block and soak so these are good for swimming just dont leave them in for more than 8 hours and do use a tampon that is for more than your average flow just to becareful of toxic shock syndrom which is a rare condition but can be got from wearing a tampon for too long (like days or for more than 8 hours but all the time or when you're not on your period), they last for most of your life usually the menopause begins and the period stops at anywhere between 40-50 but those are even rough times everyone is different, some peoples periods last 6 days some only 3. Your period will settle and you will begin to notice that you can predict your period because it comes on a set day or around that time, if you go on the contraceptive pill your period wil be even more set, (dependin on the type of pill you will have a 7 day pill free and then your period will come then wen u start takin them again it will go roughly like that).

You'll get the hang of it, just remember to stock up of sanitary pads and tampons and dont be embarrased overtime you will realise that everyone talks about it and all till operators are used to serving people sanitary pads and tampons, nothing to worry about.

GOOD LUCK x

The normal period lasts from 3-7 days. A woman has her periods for about 30 to 40 years.

Yes, one can swim during their period but if they use a tampon (which if a young girl is considering tampons they need to discuss that topic further with their mom).

You will get them until you are in your 40s-50s. (periods can last from 3-7 days).

You can swim ONLY if you wear a TAMPON. Water does not stop a period. It just washes away the blood.

U get it for 4-5 days and u can swim during that period but must use tampon to prevent insanitary conditions for others.

you can swim if you have a tampon in and you're stuck with them until you get into your 40s or so and hit menopause!

It depends on how many you took.

Swimming while taking peroids has been known to cause heart failure
