I have been sick for about 4 days now...I got sick extremely fast and out of nowhere...the first 3 days I had a bad head cold and ear aches- no sore throat just a scratchy throat- now I have the WORSE sore throat I've ever had next to the time I had mono and strep. It hurts so bad to swallow that I literally have to brace myself before I swallow. I have been taking Sudafed, girgling with salt water- drinking ice cold water- nothing seems to make it go away- I NEED SUGGESTIONS- I AM MISERABLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I really REALLY need to gain weight and I've heard that working out helps because you gain muscle weight. My mom says if you start working out too young you'll become short..or something..I'm 14, by the way.

She's deeply depressed & can barely get out of bed, & she has a research paper due tomorrow. She's very anxious about it & feels like she can't do it. Telling her that something is better than nothing & that it's not that bad isn't sinking in because she wants the paper to be perfect, but she has it stuck in my mind, "I know I'm gonna fail so it's pointless & a waste of time to do the paper".

I've asked my parents several times to take me to the dentist but it's going to be 3 weeks before my scheduled appointment, I have trouble with approx. [ one ] tooth ( a molar in the back of my mouth ), the cavity is very progressed with an infection in my gum line next to the tooth, I have been pushing it around every now and then trying to loosen it.

The pain.... I can't stand the pain, it radiates to the bottom of my jaw. Pliers will not grip, I received a full bottle of antibiotics today that I intend to use after I take the tooth out.

How can I get through this? What should be done to properly extract the tooth and complete the healing process.

would i have to lose to go from a size 2 to a size 0?
i'm 5'2" 111 pounds and i know that the basic number of pounds to lose per size is 10 pounds, but since i'm short, will i have to lose more or less?
Also do you know if american eagle jeans are true to size or not? thanks!

Ok, I have this problem, its not exactly a nose bleed, its just whenever I blow my nose or whatever, a lot of the time there is fresh or dried blood in my mucus. This has been happening for about 2 years. Some day I dont get it, but most days ill get it at least once.

Keep in mind: I DO NOT HAVE CANCER. I do not have an infection, i do not have anything serious, my doctor ran tests and told me myself.

Now, is this potentaly serious? What could this be? I do have alergies (my lips, throat, ears and nose get itchy and I produce gobs of clear mucus and my eyes get red) but this does not happen often and does not seem to be linked with this in any way at all. Its been years and I have not found a reason why this is happening, I was told its probably my sinuses or irritation, and I sometiems feel pressure in my face, but still this does not seem related in any way to me as they come at different times.
I cannot say I have nose bleeds, I never do. Its just in my mucus. Thank you.

well i havn't been getting enough protien so today i got a protien shake. How many times a week should i drink them since i don't eat meat? ALso I think im low on iron should i be worried about it? I have to get a shot and my mom said that she will just get them to do a blood test when we go..... but my mom couldn't be more relaxed about it even though im always sleepy and this morning i got up at almost 1pm!!! i don't want to sleep my life away!! I got braces early this morning about 9 and they hurt! I took a tylonol fast relief and when we go home at 10, I took an Ipheprophen...... misspelled. Is thier anything else I can do to make them feel better??? Any tips on braces is a + too!!! thnx!

My boyfriend and I have been together over a year. We live together and we have never fought. He hurt my feelings for the first time, I don't think he meant to but he did. Friday night we some how get into the conversation about sex and dating. I told him that I was happy to take a different approach with him and waited to have sex and that before I kinda would sleep with a guy first then make my decesion on liking him or not afterwards. I have never felt ashamed of this. This bugged him and it went onto saturday morning because I asked him about it and he said "well I made sure I stayed away from people like that in highschool." Boy, did I get mad and he knew I did the moment I got silent. I was trying so hard not to cry and I told him to leave me alone. I don't know if i over reacted, but for that moment he just made me feel the way an ex would, like a whore. It's still bothering me. It was such a terrible flashback of the bad relationship before him. Now I feel disconnected :(

Ok. So my 7 month old nephew has been in the hospital over a week now. He was originally diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease. However, after 2 transfusions, nothing has changed. I thought most kids showed improvement after a few days? The doctors are now saying it's NOT Kawasaki and that it's some type of virus. He has now been put on steroids. At this point, it may just be time to have him admitted to another hospital. Help!!!!
