The doctor says I might need an MRI. I just want to know what can be seen in an MRI that might be why it hurts so much.

About a week ago, my boyfriend started complaining about his gums and jaw being sore. He's 24 and his wisdom teeth are just now starting to come through so that's what we thought was causing the pain. Now I'm not so sure. His gums are still really swollen. He can barley open his mouth to eat because his jaw is so stiff. He says that his throat and tongue hurt too. He also says that the pain is now in his ear as well. Pain meds don't seem to help him much and I hate it that I can't help him. I've begged and pleaded with him to go to the dentist, but he just wont do it. I had pain when my wisdom teeth were coming in...but nothing like this. Does this sound like something that happens when your wisdoms are cutting through? Or, could it be an infection? I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions for the pain? Thanks so much.

I have atm got quite bad acne on my chest/shoulder/back area.

I was on a dose of antibiotics for my bad skin (facial) and then began to use the Pill too for the same reasons. Now I stopped taking the antiB's cus after a break my skin was fine, but carried on with Dianette

However neither medication has been able to help with the above mentioned area. Sometmes it becomes inflamed and I have blackheads & spots. Gross I know but that's why I'm here, to see if you know any products or natural ways to help me.

And yes I drink plenty of water and loads of fruit&veggies and get fresh air daily....hmmm?

btw I live in the UK so please suggest products avail here. I kinda want it sorted for the summer (everyone in the UK knows the summer's a bit crud thus far, eh?)

(Also, the Dianette I take, they are contraception right? So I could never get pregnant while on them...?? My Doctor jokingly said "Now don't be getting pregnant" while my mother was there...but really...)

Sometimes i remember stupid things i did in the past and i get so disturbed by it i cringe and feel compelled to physically distract myself by muttering to myself or jerking suddenly to one side or smirking, groaning etc. Obviously i end up looking really weird, which i think about even more. It's a vicious cycle. I've tried writing these memories down, and it does help, but they still happen and it really affects me. Has anyone had similar experiences? How do you deal with the problem?

My 8 year old son has recently picked up a few habits but the one I have noticed to be the most annoying is blinking excessively.

He just blinks and blinks and often squeezes his eyes shut and I don't see why it is necessary. I asked him why he's doing it (do they hurt? is everything blurry?) etc... but he just blinks at me and shrugs.

He has mild autism, but I doubt this is the cause. Any ideas? Or should I see a doctor?

I have 3 torn ligaments in my left ankle after coming down on the ankle while standing on a couch cushion. I went to an ORTHO yesterday and he told me that it was a typical ankle sprain and to do physical therapy for 1 month, 2 times a week. One of the ligaments is a complete rupture and 3 others are partial tears. I just dont see how this can be a typical sprain when there is a complete tear. I am going to get a 2nd opinion, I just wanted to post here and to see if i am on the right track with the physical therapy not seeming to be enough. i have done research online to see what the course of action should be, and with the severity of mine it says that surgery is reccomended or a walking cast. Has anyone had this happen? If so what was the course of action for you?

I have a very nice friend (no really it's not me) who is having bad GI problems. She has recently moved here and doesn't have a regular doctor. The one she has seen so far was extremely brusque in his assessment and treatment and didn't want to send her to the hospital. What does she have to say to get him to admit her (she is seeing him tomorrow).

I was rushed to the hospital in massive pain....they had me on morphine for over 5 hours....after a cat scan and a few other test they couldn't see what was causing the swelling....Today I woke up after a rough night realizing that it is indeed an abscess tooth. My wisdom tooth. I sadly don't have insurance and need to pay cash for an oral surgeon.
Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much it would be to pay cash for an oral surgeon to extract a tooth.

I am on antibiotics, Ibprofen, and percoset right now to lessen the swelling....so I am just wondering the pricing so I can save and be ready for it.

Thank you.
