i am 24 and have had the bridges since i was 19. these things are the pits! i have two bridges with 1 tooth on each, on my top row. the two false teeth are either side of my front two with only one wing connecting each 1 of them to 1 of my front two teeth.
(they had two wings to start with either side but they came out almost monthly because my front two do move a touch) i instructed the dentist to cut 1 wing off each of the bridges so that each bridge was only supported by one of my front two real teeth.
that worked for 2 years but now im toothless on a weekly basis again! i have exspressed that i am not happy with them! what perminent fix is best? my dentist is talking about a new maryland bridge where the wings are not metal and says they bond better! i dont believe this to be the case and feel id be paying out again for a job that wont work. i want somthing that works not something that does not. of course my front two have now been ground down along with the other two on the opposite side to the gaps,my dentist is nhs! please help i look like a right plonker at the momonet what would u do if u were me? im not a millionaire but could get a bit together! thanks again

Iam in genuine pain but I got to a point where the doctor I go to never prescribes anything but IBprofen tablets. They help a little but I just need to get by for a month for work. Please help.

I had my bypass in April 2003. It was a great success, I lost 100 pounds and went from a size 24 to a size 10.
Now, however, I find myself unable to resist snacking. Constantly. I've gone back up in size to a size 12, but I have no idea how much weight I've gained since I'm afraid to weigh myself.
Has anyone else dealt with this? What did you do about it?

Just curious, this is weird. My dog escaped and I tramped through some poison ivy before catching her. When I caught up with her, I kneeled down on the neighbors fresh cut lawn. About 15 minutes later, my legs were itchy and covered in red lines and speckles that were beginning to puff up. I went upstairs and washed them with dish detergent to get the plant oils off of me.
I am now completely fine and there is no trace whatever of any irritation. I have been exposed to poison ivy in the past with no rash and only got it once where one of the kids stepped on my arm really hard. However, grass has made me a little bit itchy in the past as well. Obviously I come into contact with grass pretty often though.
So, did I save myself from poison ivy by washing with the detergent or was it just from the grass?

hello, before i was on birth control pills (Yasmin) for about 4 months. before that, ortho tri cyclen lo. After i got off yasmin in march, i lost a lot of hair. im talking about half my head. i went to my doc, my blood was fine. went to a dermatologist, told me i have male pattern balding, told me the same thing happens to pregnant women after they have a baby. He was gonna give me expensive drops but it was too mcuch money and i would have to keep taking it for the rest of my life (like rogaine). i got a shampoo and it barely helps. I still loose some hair each day (not as much) but its adding up.

Did anyone experiance anything similar?
will my hair grow back? when?
should i buy anything or take hormones? ( im relucant on taking any pills because of what happened)
if you were pregnant, what did you do? did you hair grow back?
Thanks a bunch! I also started taking multi vit and biotin. the other pills for hair and nails made me throw up for some reason.

like anybody, my face has been breaking out since I was 12. And if you were ever a kid in the 6th grade with a nose full of visible black heads and small pimples on your cheeks, you'd know how I feel...anyways, my acne has calmed down (just a bit) but i still have these large black head or enlarged pores whatever you call it and its really bothering me! i don't know what to do. I've tried Proactive, Neutrogena, Clearasil, Biore, Clean&Clear and Aveeno, but none of them seem to work =(
(well, I've only tried one-three things from each category) is there anything out there that can miraculously shrink these embarrasing pores and still take away pimples for the mean time?Or a really good cheap doctor that can give me a good treatment? Im really desparate!

My last period was the weekend of June 8th. I had sex twice during the days of my ovulation (I didn't realize this until later). My cycle is usually very normal, and on time. I'm concerned about being pregnant.
I have been under a lot of stress lately. In the next two months I am getting married, I'm going to be moving in with my husband, I'll be moving away from my home state.
I would like to know others personal experiences. How late was your period during times of stress?

My father has cirrhosis of the liver. He has been tapped for fluid about 2 months ago. He is now bigger than ever retaining more fluid in adominal region.Feet and legs also.Doctor did not think they should tap him unless he becomes in to much pain to handle.Because of the danger. He also was given 2 units of blood about 6 weeks ago. But when he went to the doctor he told him to stop taking his blood count .And even though his blood count is low. He isn't going to give his any more blood either. Told both my Mom and Dad that he gives him 6 months and he should recieve hospice care. I don't feel that he will make the 6 months. He sleeps alot. Has good days and bad. Please if you can help me and my family what to expect,I would really appreciate it. Thank You Maryjane

We just returned from a vacation this afternoon and the last two days I developed an ear infection. I am calling my doctor in the morning, but this is extremely painful. I don't think it is swimmers ear for I didn't sumberge myself into the ocean water...I am taking Ibuprofen every 4 hours now...but any advice will help!

I am having arthroscopic knee surgery. According to the MRI, I have a "grade 3 rupture" in the inner side meniscus. Is it possible to go home the same day, or is it necessary to spend a day or two in the hospital? I really don't want to spend even one night in the hospital. I would feel much, much better at home.

If the hospital stay is for legal reasons (such as lawsuit if patient gets worse or dies of complications), can I sign a waiver to let me leave the hospital?

My choice of anesthesia is general (gas) or spinal injection to numb the leg. I am opting for the injection because general anesthesia makes me uncontrollably nervous afterwards, and it's torture just sitting still.

How long after surgery are you typically allowed to start walking? How much pain should I expect afterwards? Any recommendations?

sometimes i feel like ending my life. well, i probably would have done so a long time ago if its not for the fact that i'm pregnant. how do i cure my depression? i've tried talking to my boyfriend about it but it didnt work. i even tried meditation and doing other things so that i dont think of my depression. what can i do? my boyfriend keeps getting back from work late (he's in the service line, i understand that) morning and that's why i become more depressed. i hardly see him nowadays..

I get really emotional and bitchy sometimes. I think it's partly PMS, and partly the hormones from my birth control.

When I get emotional, I take it all out on my boyfriend and it causes major problems in our relationship. I'm really not that emotional or bitchy, I think it's all due to birth control and PMS. I wasn't like this before I started birth control 2 years ago. I hate the way I treat him when I get that way and I want to fix it before it causes more problems in the relationship. Anyone have any suggestions?
