sometimes i feel like ending my life. well, i probably would have done so a long time ago if its not for the fact that i'm pregnant. how do i cure my depression? i've tried talking to my boyfriend about it but it didnt work. i even tried meditation and doing other things so that i dont think of my depression. what can i do? my boyfriend keeps getting back from work late (he's in the service line, i understand that) morning and that's why i become more depressed. i hardly see him nowadays..

Talk to you doctor and ask them to recommend a mental health support group, help-line, and see if there are any medications available to you that are safe for you to take while pregnant.

Other things you could do are get active...exercise, find a hobby, something that you feel good doing. Volunteer for an organization - this will help you feel needed and any organization will surely appreciate your help. But definitely, DEFINITELY see a professional.

Good luck!

True depression, not being sad like most people, lasts for a long long time and you can not generally pull yourself out on your own. You might need counseling to help with your issues and medication. True depression is caused by a chemical imballance in the brain that only medication can fix. And yes there are safe meds for this while pregnant.

Can you see a therapist? Im not sure if you could take any medication for depression since you are pregnant but a therapist could help you a lot. I have been in therapy for 2 years for depression and I know how you feel.

Also, could you be mistaking hormonal imbalance and lonliness for true depression? Check with your doctor. You should be happy right now and I wish you lots of luck.

You should see a therapist. Your feelings may be related to your pregnancy. Many women have forms of depression while they are pregnant and after they have given birth. See your doctor.

I suggest that you better see a therapist. You need to tell the therapist about your condition. The therapist is able to help you to overcome your problem.
