My friend has type two diabetes and is in end stage renal failure as well as having had a CVA about 2 years ago leaving him hemiplegic.
He wants to give up dialysis as he feels it's not worth the discomfort.
How long is he likely to last without his 3 times weekly haemodialysis.
I don't need the gory details of what will happen to him without it, I know that too well, I just want to know how long we are likely to have with him.

I am a 16 year old boy, who has severely crossed eyes and behind some thick farsighted lenses the crossing of the eyes are even more noticied. I live in Sao Paulo and there are not a single day that I am not teased at school or elsewhere. I am very shy of my eyes AND my funny glasses; (you wouldn't believe if you see it), and I even hate them or hate to talk about them and maybe because of that, I have no friends, even at school. What should I do to change this situation? I've had four surgeries with insatisfatory results. Any answer or suggestions would be appreciated.

Im not used to being sober in bars and to be quite honest it really sucked. Has anyone recently quit drinking and has ran into this problem? I started drinking when I was 17 and before then I was mainly tense and depressed anyway. Im finding the same thing is starting to occur again. How can I learn how to relax? I dont really like learning that I have been like this since like 10. Cleaning up and getting in touch with self sucks. Lol.

Hi, I am suffering from physcological erectile dysfunction. I can get erect on own for masterbation without too much trouble but not when I am with a girl. I know viagra just sorts out the physical side of ed but can it help me? When I am with a girl and get performance anxiety and nervousness there is no blood flow to the penis, but maybe viagra will allow the blood flow to the penis causing the erection ??

I am 14 years old, and next week I am going in for a colonoscopy and an endoscopy.

As stupid as this sounds, I am kind of scared as to whats going to happen.
I guess my question is: What exactly happens, and will it hurt or be uncomfortbale?

I think I will be sedated, but Im not sure...Im also nervous about the prep stuff that I have to drink, as those kinds of things make me nauseous.

Any tips or expierences are apprecitated!!

Okay, so I've worn glasses for as long as I can remember!! I'm really tired of them. My dad says contacts are bad because they will get stuck in my eyes and I won't be able to get them out, and I'll have to go get surgery to remove them or something like that. But he doesn't have to wear glasses 24/7, so he doesn't know what it's like. Once I was playing soccer, and I got hit in the face with a ball, and the glasses broke, and they also scratched my face!! So I don't want to wear glasses anymore. Please inform me about contacts. How do they work and are they safe? Do they fall out easily? Should I just stick to wearing glasses for the rest of my life? I had my second child by c section about 4 months ago, since then I've had a low immune system while my body repairs itself. Unlucky for me that means I've caught everything, needed lots of antibiotics and ended up with thrush everywhere. Lovely...

About a month ago I got my penis pierced, and it still hasn't healed. Now I know what your going to say "go to the doctor!" Well I did, and he says that the infection is so bad that he has to remove some, well, uh, material. I was like, screw that I want another opinion, so I left. What should I do??? I LOOOOOVE peanut butter! But: I am VERY minorly allergic to it. It is the best thing that ever hapenned to man-kind.
