Ive always wanted to know is it safe to be on a period and have a good soak in the bath, with a tampon inside. I hear women use tampons when swimming so is it okay in a hot tub too?

You can stay in the tub for as long as you want and there are no problems. A nice warm bath can also help relieve any symptoms you are having, including helping with any cramps you may be having.

I use tampons every month, and have a bath every day!! It's totaly fine and safe they are designed to be completely water tight They only absorb the fluid from your period nothing else, as long as you change it every 3 to 4 hours you'll be fine.

Of course its ok. But you may want to change the tampon afterwards, as it will soak up some water, so be less effective for your period.
It wont do you any harm at all.
All us girls know when your on your period is when you are most in need of a good soak in the bath, so go ahead and enjoy it :)

you can take a bath without one in as long as your the only one using the bath,then when you come out the bath use toilet roll till your all dry then use new tampon
and why all the thumbs down etc its in the womans section.its a perfectly good question unlike some on here

this is completely fantastic! The water pushes it lower back in, the only reason you do no longer swim whilst on your era is with the help of the fact once you get out it may/will drip down your leg. besides the fact that if this is completely sanitary ^_^ no concerns, i might merely have a towel close to with the help of, or have a pair of underclothes with a clean pad directly to slide on when you're performed. relish your tub!

you can do pretty much anything you like with a tampon in, you can certainly bath and swim, there;s only one activity you might want to remove it for!

yeah its perfectley fine I do it all the time and take showers too with a tampon in tampons in the hot tb could harvest bacteris

Yes of course, it will do you no harm at all, go for it... soak in the tub for hours if you wish.

yes of course. I was brought up to believe it was unsafe to bath/shower at this time as its an old wifes tale. In my experience we should shower more often at this time

yes no problem with that at all. I have done it many times. Helps with the cramping bloating etc as well.
