Try using this daily to avoid constipation
POWER PUDDING
½ cup wheat bran flakes
½ cup applesauce
½ cup prune juice
Blend ingredients. Take ¼ cup portions of recipe with breakfast. Regulate dose as needed. This mixture should be covered and refrigerated. You can keep mixture for one week.

First, a few question.....
Do you tend to eat a lot of junk food? I'm not being critical, it's just that most 16 year olds LOVE junk food. If you do eat a lot of it, that might be your problem.
Do you eat late at night? And I don't mean just junk food....any food. You mention that your stomach pain acts up in the morning. Maybe you're falling asleep before your system can properly digest.
Are you on any medications? Many medications list constipation as a side effect.
If none of the above apply to you, [or and even if they do] you should probably be checked by your primary care physician. And PLEASE, see him/her BEFORE you try laxatives and such, as a lot of times they can worsen the problem.

That does kind of sound like IBS. Try eating Activia yogurt and apples. Both are good for regulating the digestive tract. It's very important to get enough fiber in your diet to stay "regular". If it doesn't get better once you change your diet, I'd rec commend going to see a doctor. I waited a long time to go myself and wasted a lot of time feeling bad when it could have been corrected.

Eat a lot of fibrous foods. Greens, raddish, yogurt,Knoolkowl, turnips beetroot are all good 4 you. Also drink a lot of water. Drinking goats milk is also a very good thing to do. Dont eat too much of beef, chicken but mutton is a better meat food. Take atleast one greens dish everyday and see how it works miracles

yuk, best thing to do is go to the chemist and ask them for something! They can give you laxatives to make you go. In future eat a healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg, and drink lots of water, dehydration is one of the causes of constipation. Do something now about it as it could get worse!

You should eat very regularly & various foods- concentrate on veggies and fruit, whole grain bread and plain yoghurt. You should exercise too- regularly.
This is not a disease you overcome overnight- but rather with change of lifestyle. Good luck

Drinking more water in your diet can prevent constipation as water is needed to disolve your stools. In the worst case scenorio you can always use laxitive.

i'm a surgical intern and a lot of my patients deal with this. i suggest taking metamucil or benefiber once in the morning. refrain from taking anything by pill, those will have the refersive effect. eat a diet of healthy foods and keep away from anything with grease.
