I've heard that you're only contagious when you first come down with the flu. Is that true? I don't want to spread the nasty bug I've been dealing with.

Hi Helpful Humans Of Yahoo!,

I've noticed when I work out at the gym and I perspire, by the time I get home, I have a breakout on my back and chest. It's instant. My back will breakout really badly and it's hard to get rid of.
Also I have to get a little personal....... I have pimple like pumps on the scalp of my head. They are spread out but more concentrated on the back of my neck.

Ok and here is the embarrassing sympton.... I have a breakout on my pubic hair area. Only topical. I noticed this satrted happening after I recieved a very aggressive and painful waxing. But somehow I dont think that is what is causing it, unless she somehow damaged my hair folicles from a harsh waxing????

I feel like I've been dealing with breakouts alot lately. I've also been stressing out alot and stopped reciving depo-pravera (bc) shot. Could it be hormones????

Is there a Dermotologist in the house? Thanks everyone.

Recently (the past week or so) I have been having bad gas pains, and (sorry if this is too gross for some) squishy poo.. not quite diarreah, but definately not normal. I also never seem to be able to get any air out..

I used to have this problem as a reaction to a med, but am now off all meds, have been for about a year.

I haven't changed my diet at all. I'm in college, and eat in the dining center. I've never had a problem before, so at first thought it was something I ate, but the problem has persisted...

Any ideas?
Thanks

i had a miscarriage a year ago. i went to the er and told the doctor that i had a postive test. i started clotting and bleeding alot and the doctor after 9 hours had concluded that i had indeed had a miscarriage. but then i got sent home and didn't get any orders except for bed rest. its not a year later and i have had nothing but a hard time trying to get my period to come down. i've been on progesterone and it came down but then didn't continue to come down afterward. my doctor although concerned about this was more concerned about my precancerous and hpv. i understand her concern but if this continues i'm afraid i won't be able to get preggo. should i have had a d and c or pills or is it normal for them to just say bed rest and nothing else? has anyone else had this same thing? i've recentley went to see another doctor and she is giving me a different pill to bring my menstration down. the good news is in the past 6 months it's come down twice on its own. so i'm wondering if it's

I'm asking because lately more than ever I have found myself just absently bouncing my legs under the table really hard, not little jittery bounces, this is the way you would bounce a baby on your knee. This makes me feel like the irritating person who sits next to you on a picnic table? When I realize I am doing it, I irritate myself!

In addition to that, for a few years, I have felt this feeling like there is little bugs crawling on my skin mostly by my knees. There aren't of course. It kind of feels like something but is also a little numb at the same time...like when you rub your fresh shaved legs on a satin sheet? Only in very small places on my skin.

If that isn't enough, lately in my whole body, my joints are kind of achy and it feels like my shoulders, elbows, and knees need to pop, or like the end of the sensation after hitting your funny bone...all over my elbows and knees. Kind of an achy nervey feeling.

Kind of, kind of...these sensations are hard to describe.

Men have testicles (balls)

Hit in balls = bad stomach ache

women have ovaries ( same general thing as testicles though different function and internal)

Women cramps = stomach pains ( b/c of ovaries right)

I just think that cramps in women are probably similar in feeling to having slight discomfort in the testicles, same stomach clencing pain, though they can differ in severity because a women is not normally being hit in the ovaries...

but I do know that some girls get really bad cramps...

opinions???

From when I was about four to when I was about seven I would have these two dreams over and over until they finally stopped. The first one (remember I was about 5 in both the dreams) I am in a room that is the only unfinished part of my basement, but it has no windows, doors, or furniture except for a fan. The fan sucks in instead of blowing out. I remember my mother is with me and I am afraid she will get sucked in so I try to turn off the fan. I get sucked in down a long dark tunnel and dissapear. She starts to cry and all of these talking flowers suddenly show up...Then I always wake up at that point...

The second dream is where I'm sitting in the passenger seat driving down the street while my mother drives. I smile at her and look out the window. I turn back to her and she is gone, her door is open and the car is still driving. It keeps driving straight until it goes through the 3-way intersection where it crashes into the church on the other side. I wake up before i die.

I'm a 20 year old female, 116 pounds, and 5'4". I'm trying to slim down my thighs and tone them, as well as tone my butt and stomach. Starting Monday, this is what I have been doing and intend to continue doing:

1) 45 minutes of pilates 6 days a week
2) 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week
3) 1200 calorie diet (NO junk food!)

How long do you think it will take for me to start seeing results? I'm willing to be patient, and I plan on making this my lifestyle, not just a quick fix. So...how long!? ;)

After the upper GI barium swallow our surgeon says mom's esophogus is shortened and peristalsis is not working too good and feels like medicine is best instead of the nissen procedure. Her esophagus is enlarged 4cm and has shortened and she should use protonix meds. Now, we wonder what can we expect happen to her hiatal hernia and will she get better with just meds?

I run before and after school hours. I run one hour in the morning between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and one hour in the afternoon between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. After exercising, I feel drenched in sweat but after a quick shower, I feel fine. I don't feel any pain before, during, or after working out. I don't really have any other workouts. I run to strengthen my endurance, and to gain some muscle as well as lose some body fat. I'm thinking of increasing the minutes from 120 to 180 a day starting on Sunday. I heard that resting is important but I feel perfectly fine. I don't understand. Is this too much exercise for me?
