Mmm. There's no remedy. Psoriasis is lame and I've had it for 22 years - my entire life - since I was a baby. Here are a few things to do:

- Move to a place that is sunny and slightly humid all year round. That means ... move south.
- Visit tanning beds frequently. The summer sun has also always been great for my psoriasis.
- Lotion up every night with thick lotions - Eucerin, Aquaphor. Cover the spots with cotton socks or gloves or clothing to hold in the moisture.
- Ask your doctor for topical steroids like ointments and lotions. These have been good for me.
- If it's on your scalp, use Neutrogena T-Gel. Use a cat flea comb to remove the tiny flakes. I'm so serious.
- Try cod-liver-oil pills. I haven't yet, but have heard good things.
- Don't take hot showers. Hot water majorly dehydrates the skin.

Anyway, good luck. Don't let it get you down. I feel lucky every day I wasn't born with a more serious condition.

If you are not satisfied with your regular dermatologist's treatment of your psoriasis, I encourage you to seek out one that specializes in psoriasis.

I tried many over-the-counter remedies and home treatments before finally seeing a dermatologist about my psoriasis. Mine is now completely under control now with a relatively inexpensive topical prescription cream.

Smoke marijuana. I have had psoriasis for about 10 years, since i was 12 and i tried EVERYTHING. Recently I decided to try pot out of curiosity. a week after the third time I smoked (smoking can be defined here as one joint over the course of about 45 min to an hour) I noticed that my plaques are MUCH smaller and the flaking is dramatically reduced - im seeing my elbow skin for the first time in 10 years. I was almost in tears... they really need to legalize it...
