i had a miscarriage a year ago. i went to the er and told the doctor that i had a postive test. i started clotting and bleeding alot and the doctor after 9 hours had concluded that i had indeed had a miscarriage. but then i got sent home and didn't get any orders except for bed rest. its not a year later and i have had nothing but a hard time trying to get my period to come down. i've been on progesterone and it came down but then didn't continue to come down afterward. my doctor although concerned about this was more concerned about my precancerous and hpv. i understand her concern but if this continues i'm afraid i won't be able to get preggo. should i have had a d and c or pills or is it normal for them to just say bed rest and nothing else? has anyone else had this same thing? i've recentley went to see another doctor and she is giving me a different pill to bring my menstration down. the good news is in the past 6 months it's come down twice on its own. so i'm wondering if it's

just a matter of time. i'm still young, 22, so i'm not too worry about getting pregnant now. but as soon as i get some stuff straighned out, i would like to get pregnant. i don't feel that it's fair to bring a baby in the world intentionally, knowing that i have precancerous and other health problems.

i haven't tried to get pregnant yet. i'm just having a hard time getting my period down. what i'm worried about is that not having a d and c could cause my period to stop suddenly. before the miscarriage, i had a period monthly!

ok, so what happened was that u had a miscarriage. and yes there are times where pt are sent home and do not need a d and c. if u had excessive bleeding or if you still had products of conception in ur uterus or if your cervix was dilated then you would have a d and c. the fact that u did not have one is not the reason you are not getting pregnant. u might need to see a fertitily specialist.

I had a miscarriage in Jaunuary and they just sent me home on bedrest. I did not have a D & C or was I put on any pills. My period has came two times and where actually only about 3-4 days instead of 6 like normal. (My periods always change when I have been pregnant I use to have horrible cramping before my daughter and now after my daughter I can acutally get out of bed when I am on my period).

So yes you can have a miscariage and not need any further health care so maybe there is somthing else going on?

I have HPV and i know that i spot some of the time when i am not on my menstration so that i know can happen but i also know that if u have not had a d and c that it should not make u bleed more becouse a friend of mine has had 4 miscarriages and only one had to have a d and c i really think that it is time u went to and got a second opinion about what is happenning. good luck with every thing that u do.
